Born To Give (book review)

The author, David Grant, is a missionary to India and the founder of Project Rescue. He writes about his story of what brought him to India and to building the organization Project Rescue.

David’s father was known to give everything and anything had and believed God would provide what he needed. So growing up David learned to be a giver. He would give of his money, time and energy to getting the gospel message out and to rescue women and children trapped in the sex trade in India.

As a young child he was challenged in a sermon to give his life to God to be used by God in any way that He chose. In that service when the offering plate was being passed around, David put the plate on the floor and stepped into it. He told God that he gave his life to God and wanted God to send him to India someday. Through this book David tells many stories that brought him to India, the challenges, heartaches and rewards. One story was how God saved him from a plane that crashed and killed everyone on board.

Over the years David had worked with Mark Buntain and Mother Theresa. He had started many churches and Bible colleges all over India. With seeing all of the sex trafficking going on, David started Project Rescue to rescue girls and women from the entrapment. Thousands of girls and women have been rescued from the clutches of the sex trade industry. His daughters are now helping out in the rescue program in various ways.

This book is an easy-to-read book that will challenge one’s faith in giving and following God’s path for one’s life. It will capture one’s heart for the people of India and those being caught up in the sex traffic world.

I highly encourage you to read this short book and to support the Project Rescue ministry with both prayer and finances.
