And they shall teach My people the difference between the holy and the unholy, and cause them to discern between the clean and the unclean. Ezekiel 44:23
Teachers can be found all over the world that teach people of all ages. They will teach what they believe in as correct to help others understand what is believed by the teacher to be true. Along with people that hold the title of being a teacher, most others teach by speaking about what they believe is true. Everyone teaches to some degree or more, whether to just an individual or to many.
Ezekiel records God saying that the priests shall teach the people the difference between holy and unholy and be able to understand and know what is clean and unclean. The world has no problems in teaching what they believe is true. Children are now taught that they can be whatever gender they want to be, that there are no sexual boundaries, that any belief can get you to heaven, and many other things that go directly against what God said in the Bible.
As a result, there is no longer any holy or unholy, right or wrong standards, it is all dependent upon the individual to make the choice. And this has begun to creep into the church to where believers cannot solidly say what is acceptable to God and what is not.
In the New Testament, believers are called priests of God. Individual believers are now to teach others what is holy and unholy and guide others to know how to discern what is right and wrong, clean and unclean. This begins in the home and then reaches out to the neighborhood, cities and nations.
Only when God’s truth is taught, will the world turn to God and be changed.
Throughout your life you have been taught by many people, some were teachers, and many were just teaching you new information. Someone taught you the truth of God’s word and you became a believer.
First begin to apply what God has said to your own life. Be led by the Holy Spirit to know what is holy and what is unholy and to discern the differences. Then it is your turn to teach others what God has to say about what is clean and unclean, holy and unholy.
Are you teaching the proper truth of God to those around you today?
Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will know what God says is holy and what is unholy; that God will guide you in knowing the difference between what is clean and unclean in His sight; and that you will teach others what God has taught you.
