Jeremiah 15:20 Be A Fortified Wall

And I will make you to this people a fortified bronze wall; and they will fight against you, but they shall not prevail against you; for I am with you to save and deliver you, says the Lord. Jeremiah 15:20

Walls are put up in order to keep something out, to protect what is inside. Some walls are built with extra fortification in order to be stronger. They may have extra steel rods running through to increase its strength. Doing this will lessen the likelihood of the wall being broken through or broken down by an enemy.

God tells Jeremiah that He will make Jeremiah a fortified bronze wall to the Israelites. The people will fight against him, but will be unable to win the battle, because God will save him and deliver him.

The world does not like believers nor God. Everything that God stands for goes against what the world believes in. As a result, the world will fight against believers in any way possible. They will seek to tear down the walls protecting a believer and get the believer to reject God.

God has called every believer to be a witness in this world about who Jesus is and what He has done. Being a witness for God in a world that hates God will bring about persecution and trouble.

Knowing this, God makes believers a wall to the people. He fills the believer with His Holy Spirit and equips the believer with His armor. A wall needs to be erected in the heart and mind of the believer to prevent one from being deceived and stepping into sin. Trust in God must arise to know that God will save the soul, no matter what the world does to the body. The world will not prevail and win against those who are fortified by God.

As a believer, the world will battle against you. The world does not want you to win the life God has promised you. Temptation to sin or to reject God will be great against you, however, you are to be a fortified wall against the world. Putting on the righteousness and armor of Christ, you will be able to withstand the attacks of the enemy. God will give you victory and fill you with life that the world is trying to take away. In the end you will be saved with eternal life.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as Lord and Savior; that you will allow God to make you a fortified wall in this world; that you will stand strong for God and His ways; and that you will see the deliverance of God in your life.
