Behold, you trust in lying words that cannot profit. Jeremiah 7:8
Children are often taught that there are little white lies and big black lies, white lies are acceptable. Businesses always promote their products or services as the best available or absolute number one. Lies run so rampant across the nation that they have become commonplace and accepted as very normal. People believe these lies as truth and live by them and promote them.
Jeremiah quotes God saying that the people are trusting lying words that can bring no profit.
The world has no standard in which to live by. Everything is according to how a person feels in the moment and even that can be wrong. Living like this is no surprise, since Satan is the head of the world, and he is the father of lies and deception. Satan promises wealth, life and liberty, while delivering death, suffering and bondage.
As the nation has grown and aged, the level of lies has risen to higher levels than ever before. Children are told that they can be any gender they choose. Believers are told that God’s ways are racist and deadly. Murder of children is said to be a God given right.
Sadly, belief in these and many other lies has crept into the church. Pastors and churches will say that there are many ways to God. Some will say that there is no real thing as sin. Others will say that once forgiven a person can sin as much as one wants, and God still has forgiven them.
Believers need to get back to the Bible and see what God and His Word says. They have to reject the lies of Satan that is permeating the nations. God and His Word is TRUTH, all else is a lie. May none be accused of believing a lie.
Everywhere you look you will be able to see the deception of Satan being pushed. Lies of health, wealth, prosperity, happiness and life are promised if you follow the ways of Satan and are willing to reject God and His truth. Do not allow yourself to be deceived and believe the lies. Do not be accused of believing the lying words of the world over the truth of God.
Get into God’s word and pray to know the truth that will profit you for all eternity. Seek His Holy Spirit to be led into His truth and to expose the lies of this fallen world.
Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that God will open your eyes to the lies around you; that you will believe God’s word as truth; that you will know the life God offers you; and that God will use you to expose the lies of the world in the church.
