Isaiah 64:5 We Need To Be Saved

You meet him who rejoices and does righteousness, who remembers You in Your ways. You are indeed angry, for we have sinned–in these ways we continue; and we need to be saved. Isaiah 64:5

Anyone who is in danger needs to be saved. This can happen in a car accident, a fire, sickness or some other incident in which one cannot get oneself out of the danger. People understand the need to be saved, when in danger, and seek help from emergency personnel to meet their need quickly.

Isaiah understands that God will meet with those who rejoice in Him, acts righteously, and remembers His ways. He admits that they have sinned and continue to sin and need to be saved.

Every person has sinned and failed to live for God in His ways bringing upon their heads a death sentence. As a whole the world continues to live in sin and rejects what God has to say.

As a result, things are getting worse. Crime goes up, wars occur more often, sickness is greater, death rates are higher, depression rises, violence is greater, and much more is occurring that is not good. This is not only occurring in the world outside the church, but also inside the church.

The only way to stop these things from occurring is for people to repent and be saved from the coming judgement. God is ready and willing to forgive and remove all sin and judgement against every person, but that each person must be willing to repent and believe in Jesus Christ to be saved.

Once one repents, one must begin to rejoice in following the righteous ways of God, rather than the sinful ways of the world. God has shown the way to live through Jesus Christ. All one must do is follow those ways and live and be saved by the power of Jesus and the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Only you can look at your life and see if you are truly living for God or not. Ask yourself if you are rejoicing in the ways of God and living the righteous life that Jesus has provided for you to live. Ask yourself if you are continuing to sin or if you are repenting and turning away from those sins. Live for God and be saved. Accept what Jesus has done for you and live in His righteousness.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as Lord and Savior; that you will repent before God of all sins; that you will remember to live in His righteous ways; and that God will give you strength to turn from all sin.
