You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called from its farthest regions, and said to you, ‘You are My servant, I have chosen you and not cast you away:’ Isaiah 41:9
There are times in which high level leadership or authorities will choose a person to be a member of the high-level team. The person chosen can sometimes be someone from afar off and occasionally an unknown person to most people. Usually when a person like this is chosen, it is because of one’s abilities has shined brightly and caught the attention of the high-level person.
Isaiah, quotes God, in speaking about Israel, that He brought Israel from the farthest regions of the earth and called them His servant, that He chose them and did not cast them away.
The world will choose people based off of that person’s abilities and track record in some area of life. If a person does not have very specific abilities, the world will not even begin to look at the person for anything. In this way, many in this world are overlooked or ignored that may have the abilities, but have never been given a chance to show it.
God works on a different principle. He chooses people who cannot do or be what He wants to be His servant. Every person has failed God from the moment one first sinned against Him. Yet, God is willing to choose a person to forgive that person and make that person His servant, a new creation.
No longer does God call people from only a certain area of the world, but from all the ends of the earth. God loves and wants all to come to Him for forgiveness and transformation. He fills one with His Holy Spirit to give one the strength to be His servant and to never be cast away again.
You may or may not have any special abilities, but God has chosen you to be His child, His servant in His great kingdom. In and of yourself, you may appear to be of no value and cannot catch the attention of the authorities of this world, but God sees you and knows you. Be willing to be His servant and do not be afraid. God is a perfect loving God who will always treat you in the best way as His servant and child.
Today I pray that you will know Jesus as Lord and Savior; that you will know God has chosen you to be His; that you will be God’s servant; that you will do all that God asks of you; and that you will honor God with your whole life.
