Song Of Solomon 4:7 Seen As Spotless

You are all fair, my love, and there is no spot in you. Song of Solomon 4:7

Having things be spotlessly clean is the desire of many people. Some will clean their car almost every day in order to keep it clean and spotless from any dirt or filth. Clothes are washed regularly to keep them from being dirty. During times of election, candidates are looked to determine how clean their life is in what they stand for and how they will lead. Often spots of dirt are found on things or in people that keep them from being squeaky clean.

The Shulamite is told that she is all fair and that there is no spot in her as His love.

Going into marriage, most people desire their spouse to be pure and without spots in their lives. Although many desire this, most recognize that every person has some dirt in one’s life. There are faults that need to be overcome.

The world will see these faults and often run the other direction with judgement or accusations or ignore those faults with complete acceptance. Many will know that there is no such person that is pure and spotless of any faults.

God is able to see into the heart of a person. There is nothing hidden from His view and He sees all the spots and dirt.

However, believers who are following Jesus are made spotless and pure from all sin. Jesus removes all sin when one repents, making the believer a pure and spotless bride and the beautiful bride of Christ. When God sees the believer in Jesus, He sees someone who is made pure and holy, He sees the righteousness and holiness of Jesus.

Outside of Jesus, one is filthy dirty with spots of sin. Just as you clean up on a regular basis to keep physical dirt from being on you, you must be willing to repent of sins and allow Jesus to clean you up. God loves you and wants you as a spotless bride, pure and holy.

This can only be done through the saving blood and sacrificial work of Jesus done on the cross. He is ready to forgive you and remove all sin, to present you before the Father as a pure and spotless bride, holy and righteous. God sees you in Christ, not just in yourself.

Are you spotless before God today?

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will repent of your sins and allow Jesus to make you pure; that God will see you as pure and spotless in Christ Jesus; and that you will be the love of God.
