Conflicted
John Stamper, a married father with four children, takes a look at public education in America. He had been a public school teacher in the Chicago Public School system and chose to leave the public schools, pull his children out of the system and homeschool them.
The beginning of the book takes a look at his experience in the public school system and some of what was being taught and forced upon teachers to teach or talk about. He describes some of the mandatory training that he had to go through as a teacher. Then he looks at what the bible talks about concerning the teaching of children. He noticed the conflict in the public school agenda and the biblical mandates.
One of the most interesting things he looks at is the education under communist leaders: Vladmir Lenin in Russia, Joseph Stalin in Russia, Adolf Hitler in Germany, Mao Zedung in China, Pol Pot in Cambodia, and Kim il-sung (family line) in North Korea. Each of these nations were steeped in communism and controlled the schools. They also destroyed their nations under communist dictatorship. He draws parallels on how each of these leaders led their nations and how America is being led down the exact same path.
He also lists out the communist goals in America that were written in the early 1960s and how many current leaders think highly of those goals. Very clearly he pulls back the curtain on public education and shows how it is led in a way to create the destruction of family, freedom and Christianity with promoting gender identity, sexual exploitation of children, and Critical Race Theory. His solution to this is for parents to take control of their children’s education and homeschool if possible.
As a father of eight children who has homeschooled all of his children and also worked in the public school system, I highly recommend this book. Some of the things that he talks about in the public schools, I have personally seen in the local schools when working on the inside. Looking from the outside, most people will never see most of what is actually being taught.
This is not to say that there are good teachers in the public school system, but their hands are tied and the system is corrupt and being led by demonic forces.
