Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the wicked; for there will be no prospect for the evil man; the lamp of the wicked will be put out. Proverbs 24:19-20
Worry occurs on a regular basis over leaders who are not the best. This occurs even more when the leaders are tyrants and doing things that are wrong. Yet, many still envy those are who are wicked, the very ones they are worrying about. They want the power, authority and things that many who are wicked and appear to be very successful.
Solomon says to not worry about the evildoers or be envious of them because there is no future for them, and their life will come to an end.
In a world that does not believe in God as a whole, there are many people who rise up in power and authority that are filled with evil intentions. Their goal is to destroy belief in God and enrich and empower themselves. Some will rise to rule nations, while others are at low levels in small businesses or organizations, but can be found nearly everywhere.
As these evil men rise up, many fret and worry about what they are doing and can do. Others get envious about those positions wanting them for themselves because it looks like they have a solid future ahead of them. This not only occurs with non-believers, but also with believers in the church.
Instead of worrying about those who are doing evil, believers are to put their trust in God. Those who are doing evil are not really in control, but God is. There is a reason for Him to allow evil to persist for a time on this earth. Yet, in the end God will have the final say and every evil person will be judged. Their time is short in light of eternity.
There will be times in your life when you will see someone rising up in the process of doing evil and gaining authority. It may cause you to desire to have some of that authority. Put your focus upon God, not those doing evil. See what God is doing and how He is in control. Know that you have a future with Jesus that will last for eternity and that those doing evil will be cut off. Their evilness is only for a short time, God’s love and salvation are forever.
Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will know God’s power and authority; that you will trust that God is in control; that God will help remove all worry as you trust Him; and that you will desire the things of God and not the things of this world.

Amen, Amen, Amen. Christ’s Love is all we ever need.
Romans 8
Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
Amen! Well said.
