The Lord will give strength to His people; The Lord will bless His people with peace. Psalm 29:11

People will often expect certain things from certain people. Doctors are always expected to give a good diagnosis on what is ailing a person. Police are expected to always protect the people. Electricians are always expected to solve the electrical issue. Drivers are expected to drive on their side of the road. And the list of expectations goes on. Although people expect others to do these things, it does not always happen that way. People fail at times.

David gives praise about God is saying that He will give strength and peace to His people.

Although want to trust the expectations of others, many do not trust them. Failure to come through on what is expected occurs so often that many lose trust and hope that the other will do what is expected. Instead of trusting others, people will try to do things on their own so that they will not be let down or disappointed.

Two things that people are always searching for is strength and peace. Strength is desired in order to make it through the many difficulties and challenges of life one faces each day. Peace is sought after with all the turmoil and struggles going on around the world and in the lives of individuals on a regular basis.

Individual strength of the world fails, and peace appears to be hidden.

Instead of relying on one’s own strength, believers trust God for His strength. He gives the one who trusts in Him the ability to keep moving forward to accomplish the God given task on this earth.

God also gives a peace that the world does not understand. It is an inner peace that will override any trouble the world offers. God’s strength and peace never fail and are always available.

You will have days in which you will need strength or peace or both. Do not be like the world and be strong in your own strength or to seek the temporary peace that the world falsely offers. Those things will fail you and not give what you desire.

Put your focus and trust in God who gives the strength that is needed in the moment. Hold on to His peace that calms the heart and mind in the midst of turmoil and chaos. God is ready and willing to give you both as needed.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will know the strength God offers you; that you will know the peace God gives you; that you will walk in God’s strength and peace; and that you will give God praise for what He gives you each day.
