Be strong, and let us fight bravely for our people and the cities of our God. The Lord will do what is good in his sight. 1 Chronicles 19:13
Battles are occurring on a regular basis no matter where one is living. Most of these battles are not physical war battles, but ones that are of the emotional, social, mental and spiritual forms. It is very common for most people in one of these types of battles to feel as if they are completely alone and on their own with no help to win the battle.
David was bringing his army in to fight against the Arameans. As they were getting ready for battle David told them to be strong and fight bravely for their people and cities and allow God to do what is good.
Every emotional, social and mental battle that people are going through has a foundation in sin. When God placed Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, there were none of these battles, everything was perfect. Immediately upon sin entering the world, every one of these battles and more crept in fighting against the people of God.
The only way that these battles can be truly won is by following God’s way of living and leaning on the Holy Spirit for strength.
This is where believers come in to fight a battle for the people. Every believer has the truth of Jesus to be shared with the lost world being overrun by the enemy–sin.
Believers must be strong in their faith and fight bravely, bringing the gospel message of salvation with much prayer to those who are being defeated in the battle for their souls. They need to take back the lost people, cities and nations for God.
There is a battle going on for your soul and the souls of those around you. This battle can only be won if you are strong in the Lord Jesus Christ and fight bravely the good fight. Do not allow yourself to be afraid and back down from the battle.
God is ready and willing to lead you in how to defeat the enemy of the souls of men. He will give you the strength to overcome the attacks of the enemy so that you may lead others to Christ Jesus. Put on the armor of God and go out to battle for yourself, those you love and all those around you.
Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that God will open your eyes to the attacks of the enemy upon lives around you; that you will be led by the Holy Spirit on how to defeat the enemy; and that God will draw many to a saving knowledge of Jesus through your work.
