People are always searching for ways to be successful. Often it is with the least amount of work or complicated steps.
God told Joshua to be strong, very courageous, obey the law Moses gave and not to turn away to be successful.
God has always wanted His people to be successful. He started in the Garden of Eden with giving Adam and Eve everything they could possibly need or want and only one rule to follow to be successful. Instead of following God’s ways to be successful, man has chosen to do it his own way.
In order for one to be successful in God’s eyes, he must be willing to go against the ways of the world. This will take strength and courage. The world will threaten to kill and destroy anyone who goes against them and their ways of living.
The Holy Spirit is with the believer, giving him all the power and authority of God–the Creator of the universe, which in turn will give the believer strength and courage to defeat the ways of the world.
Throughout the Bible, God has given rules on how to live for Him, starting with the law of Moses and going through to Revelation. All of His commands fall under two spots–love God and love others. If one obeys these commands, he will be successful in all that he does and wherever he goes.
You may be searching for ways to be successful in life. Do not seek the ways of the world, but seek what God wants you to do.
God is able and willing to show you how to be successful, but it takes you to be strong and courageous in stepping out in faith on the path God has for you.
You must be willing to obey everything God directs you to do, not turning to the right or left, to find true success that will last for eternity, not just a few years.
Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will know what God commands you to do; that you will obey all the commands of God for you; that you will be strong and courageous in obeying God and resisting the ways of the world; and that you will see the success God has for you.
