John 12:15 The King Is Coming

“Do not be afraid, Daughter Zion; see, your king is coming, seated on a donkey’s colt.” John 12:15

Most people have days that are filled with struggles and complications. They are not sure how to deal with various situations in their life and are looking for guidance to help them through it.

People are always looking for a victorious leader to come in and save the day. Some want to be that leader, but most are looking for someone else to do the job, because they don’t really know how to do it themselves.

As Jesus was riding into town on a donkey, Zechariah was quoted. Jesus was seen as the king coming in on a donkey’s colt and that the people were not to be afraid.

When Jesus rode into Jerusalem, it was a time when Rome was the major power. It appeared as though the Israelites were losing and God was not doing anything.

In the same way, believers are looking around them today and seeing all kinds of turmoil and distress. It appears as though the world is falling to sin and God is losing the battle. The enemy appears to be stronger than ever and winning the war.

God is ready to ride into the life of every person who chooses to believe in Him and trust Him with his life. He has the power to overcome any sin and difficulty in the life of a believer.

One does not need to fear the enemy or what the world is doing. Jesus will ride in to help the believer in any and every situation. Some day Jesus will come riding in on a horse as The King to finish the battle started in Garden of Eden.

Until then, every believer must trust God and not be afraid in the day to day battles.

You have an enemy that is out to destroy you. The enemy wants you to be afraid, very afraid. However, as a believer, you have a king who is riding in to take control. God is willing to lead you to victory.

Jesus rode in to go to His death to be able to gain victory over sin and remove sin from your life. Trust that He will ride in again today to give you the needed victory. He is not riding in to condemn or destroy you, but to build you up.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Savior; that you will see God riding in to strengthen you and win your battles; that you will see God as your Victor; that God will help you overcome fear of the enemy; and that you will have victory in Jesus.
