My sheep listen to my voice; I know them and they follow me. John 10:27
Every place that a person goes, there are voices that are speaking. All over the world people have something to say.
These voices that are speaking, often say things that are so conflicting from each other to the point that one may wonder what to believe. No matter what is said, there is often someone who will say something the exact opposite.
A person is required to choose who he will listen to and who he will believe is telling the truth.
Jesus said that He knows His sheep who listen to His voice and follow Him.
In the same way that there are many different voices in the world, there are also many different voices inside the church. These voices are also speaking many very different things to the people that are opposite each other and some will go against God’s word.
In order for a person to truly follow God, he must know what God is saying. To know what God is saying, one must listen to God and line it up with His word.
Every believer must have God’s Spirit inside of him to guide him and allow him to know and hear God’s voice. The things God will say will always line up with what He has revealed in the scriptures, because He cannot go against His own word.
The more a believer knows God’s voice, he will hear His voice. Instead of trying to not hear all the other voices out there, teaching false lies, he will only listen to God’s voice. There are too many voices in the world to just work at not listening to them, one must focus upon God’s voice and follow Him.
As a believer, study God’s word to know what God is saying. Focus your life upon God first, so that you may recognize His voice when He speaks to you.
Do not allow yourself to get caught up in what the world is saying. Turn your eyes, ears and heart towards God and His word. It is the only place that you will hear truth with no defects or lies in it.
As you hear what God is saying, obey Him and follow Him. God will speak life into you, if you will allow Him and obey Him.
Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Savior; that you will know God’s voice; that you will hear when God speaks; that you will obey what God says; and that God will strengthen you to not be led astray by the voices of this fallen world.
