Matthew 15:31 Do You Give God The Credit?

The people were amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled made well, the lame walking and the blind seeing. And they praised the God of Israel. Matthew 15:31

Every day good things occur that are considered unusual. Most people see some of these things and just ignore it. Others want to know why it happened.

If there is no direct understanding as to why something occurred, people just chalk it up to good luck or it was a random chance. Others will say it was their hard work or some mystical reasoning. When it comes to physical healings, people give the doctor’s credit.

Right after Jesus had healed many people, the people saw it and were amazed. They immediately began to praise God for the amazing healings and miracles that had occurred.

When a sudden healing occurs, many people will question whether the person was really sick or injured in the first place. Others will just stand amazed wondering how the person was healed so quickly. Doctor’s are known to have said that they had made a mistake in the diagnosis of a sickness, thus accounting for the sudden healing.

Regardless of the reasoning, many people refuse to give God the credit for the healing. They are seeking to give credit to self or to natural ways of healing.

Any person who is really thinking correctly, will recognize that the healing was outside of the normal and will know that it had to have been God doing the sudden healing. Instead of ignoring or rejecting God, they will give Him the credit.

People who have their hearts and minds focused upon God will be the first to give God the credit for the healing. Praise will be given to God for the healing, rather than praise to luck or to man.

If you keep your eyes open, you will see miracles occurring around you. They may be quick, all of a sudden miracles or they may be a slower, over the time miracles. Either way give God the credit for what is occurring, whether a sudden miracle without a doctor or one with a doctor involved. God did and still does miracles every day.

When you see God do something in your life or in the life of someone else, give Him praise. Do not give praise to luck or to man, but to the one God who made it happen.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Savior; that you will see God’s hand at work in the lives of people; that you will give God praise for miracles that occur; and that you will trust God for healing.
