John 1:1 It Begins With God’s Word

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. John 1:1

Scientists are always striving to find out the beginning of the earth and life of mankind. People want to know how and why there is life upon this earth. They want to know the purpose of mankind.

The majority of people hold to the belief that all of this is just random chance. Everything that exists and is today, is by the chance of evolution. Yet, they still seek to find the actual beginning, that remains elusive to their searching.

John writes that is was the Word in the beginning and that the Word is God.

As the world searches for what began everything and the purpose for everything, God’s Word gives the answer. It started in Genesis and was repeated by John, that everything began with God’s and His Word.

For the unbeliever it does not make sense, because then the question comes up as to when did God begin. However, for those who believe God’s word it lines up everything in perfect order.

The good news with knowing that everything started with God and His Word, is that believers can trust Him with everything in their lives. If God has the power by His Word to create everything, then He has the power to take care of everything also in the life of a believer.

One becomes a believer because God called Him. It does not start with the believer himself, but with God. God is at the beginning of all. He is also the end of all things.

Knowing this, the believer must be willing to look to God’s word for guidance in every area of life. God and His word have all the answers to life and its problems.

God has called you to believe upon Him and His Word. Instead of looking to this fallen world and the sin and lies it promotes, look to God and His word. It is perfect and infallible.

With the Holy Spirit, God’s Word and God, you have access to all power and authority in all creation. You have access to wisdom that was from the beginning of all time.

God created everything with you on His mind. He also sent Jesus, His Son, to die for you, so that you may have the life He meant you to have. This was His plan from the beginning.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Savior; that you will trust God with all of your life; that you will seek God’s word in every situation in your life; and that you will know God’s word for you each day.
