I tell you, he will see that they will get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth? Luke 18:8
Scientists and engineers are always seeking ways for mankind to be able to do everything that they desire on their own. There is a common belief that man can do anything he sets his mind to do. There are no limits.
All of these people have great faith, but it is in themselves, their abilities and the things they have invented. It is a faith and belief that with enough time, money and effort anything is possible.
Jesus had just given a parable about being persistent in pursuing God’s help, having faith that God will do what is needed to be done. Then He asked if when He returns, if He will actually find any faith on the earth.
Faith is trusting God for what cannot be seen or what has not occurred yet. People have faith in things, other people and themselves every day.
Many claim to have faith in God, but do not really show it. They come up against a problem in life and bring it to God for a moment. As soon as God does not clear the problem immediately, they begin to seek ways to solve it themselves or with the help of others.
Seeking to do it by oneself so quickly is removing faith in God to answer in the best way. One no longer has true faith in God, but more in self and others.
Every believer must put complete faith in God for everything. Things must be laid on the line trusting God so much, that if He does not come through, the person or thing will fail.
Pursuing God for help must be the top priority, not self-help or help from others. This is faith in God.
Each day you will have opportunities to exercise your faith in God. There will be things you must bring to God and lay it at His feet to take care of.
You have a choice as to whether you will let God take care of your needs, or you will strive to do it all on your own without His help. This is a choice of whether you will have faith in God or in self.
When God looks at your life, does He find faith?
Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Savior; that you will have faith in God’s abilities and love; that you will seek God first for all your needs; and that you will see God work in your life.
