Psalm 63:5 Fully Satisfied

Satisfied girl

I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you. Psalm 63:5

Eating food is something that people love to do. Eating a meal that is cooked to near perfection is a desire many have. People will find that restaurant that usually will cook a meal to near perfection. When they sit down to eat the meal they are fully satisfied, until they eat too much and gain a stomach ache.

People search for satisfaction in many things. They want to be filled with everything that they want and need to find complete satisfaction.

Finding full satisfaction is not very common. People will find fault in nearly every thing that they touch or use. Things of this earth will fail or fall apart. The satisfaction is temporary.

David found great satisfaction with one thing, that is to praise God. He likens it to eating the best food possible.

In order to praise God, one must think about what God has done and who He is. When these thoughts are brought up, then praise becomes a natural by-product of it. One begins to realize how great and awesome God is.

The effect of knowing how great and awesome God is, is the overflow of praise to Him. One will want to praise God for all that God is and has done.

This brings about a satisfaction that nothing in this world can bring. It is a knowing that God is in control, that God is providing all that is needed, that God is loving, that God is merciful, that God is with the person, and much more.

All of these things brings complete peace that this world does not know. There is peace, because nothing else is needed or important. The things of this world grow dim and meaningless in light of God’s greatness and glory.

Take time to realize how great God is and what He has already done for you. With that begin to give Him praise. Find the satisfaction that David had in praising God.

God has already given you everything that you need and more. Be satisfied with that and now give Him the praise that He is worthy of.

Keep a song of praise on your lips at all times in order to keep your focus on God. This will bring about complete satisfaction for all that you need or desire.

I pray today that you will know God’s provision in your life; that you will know God’s character; that you will sing praises daily to God; and that you will find satisfaction in praising God.
