Acts 11:20 Tell Everyone

Some of them, however, men from Cyprus and Cyrene, went to Antioch and began to speak to Greeks also, telling them the good news about the Lord Jesus. Acts 11:20

After Stephen was killed, the believers were scattered. As they went to new locations, they would bring the gospel message of Jesus to the Jews where they were living. Very few went to anyone other than the Jews. A few men started telling the Greeks about the Jesus and many were saved.

People love to talk with people who are similar to them. They do not usually like to talk to people who are different. People who are different are usually avoided and left alone.

In Acts, the people were only going to the Jewish people and not letting others know about Jesus. They felt as though God could not save them or that those people were not worthy to be saved. This same type of action goes on today.

Believers are great at talking to other believers about God and what is going on in their lives. They talk to those they know in their church, or in their community who they know are believers.

Some will talk to a few people in their workplace about Jesus, but only if they know the person well.

Every believer needs to break out of their church and small world and let others know about Jesus. Every person that a believer meets needs to be given a chance to accept or reject Jesus.

Just because a person dresses different, looks different, acts different, or is from the ‘other side of the tracks’, does not mean he should not be given the chance to know Jesus.

Every person who is a believer, is one because someone told that person. And someone had told the person, who told that person.

You are a believer, because someone told you. And the person who told you about Jesus is a believer, because someone told him. And that person is a believer, because someone told him.

As you go through your days, give people a chance to hear about Jesus. Be willing to tell everyone you meet, no matter where you are and go about Jesus. Jesus came to save every person, not just a few.

Give the clerk, cashier, service person, person in the store, the person on the street, and everyone else a chance to know Jesus.

I pray today that you will know Jesus as your Savior; that you will tell everyone you can about Jesus; that God will touch the hearts of many through you for Jesus; and that many will come to know Jesus through you.
