“He says, ‘I will declare your name to my brothers and sisters; in the assembly I will sing your praises.” Hebrews 2:12
The one speaking here is Jesus. The really awesome thing stated here is that He calls us His brothers and sisters. This also shows us that God is our Father. What more could one ask for…to be the child of the one who made, owns, and controls absolutely everything in the universe both seen and unseen?
Many people would love to be the child of a Bill Gates, or some other rich or famous person. They think it would solve all their problems financially, get them the open doors to fame and wealth. Although a wealthy famous father here on earth can do a lot–how much more can the one who made everything and controls it all do for us?
Then Jesus states He will sing praises to the Father among us. He is singing praises for all the good the Father has done and is doing. It was the Father’s plan that brought about salvation for each of us. You and I need to join in singing praises to God the Father today. Praise Him for bringing salvation; for your food; for your health; for your clothes; for the breath you breathe; for your life; for everything.
I pray that God will reveal Himself more to you today of who He is. I pray that today the Holy Spirit will give you a song of praise upon your heart; that you would not be afraid to sing it out to God today; that you would include others in singing these songs of praise alongside of Jesus Himself.
