Hebrews 1:3 The Son

“The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.” Hebrews 1:3

The Son, here, is Jesus. He is the one who shines with the glory of God and is an exact representation of God’s being and is the one who holds all things together. Often people will believe in Jesus for the salvation but will not trust in Him for the things in life such as healing, finances, food, dealing with a bad situation at work, or dealing with a break down of things at home (both physical and social breakdowns). Yet without Jesus no one could even take one breath this morning.

Jesus provided for the purification for our sins by dying on the cross and raising from the dead. Once He had down that He sat down with God in heaven. The hard work was down. We now have to trust in Him to hold his part in saving us when we repent of our sins. But along with trusting for that salvation we must trust Him in all things in our lives.

Today when things go wrong…when the car breaks down, the boss gets angry with you, someone disagrees with you, the pipe at home breaks, and things do not go your way…trust Jesus to sustain you. Jesus is sustaining the entire universe, He can sustain you in every situation in your life no matter how big it is. You are not larger than the universe so if He can care for the universe He can take care of you.

I pray that God will give you peace of mind that He is in control, that He does and will care for you and meet your every need. I pray that you will see the power Jesus has and the wisdom He has and trust Him today for everything, not just for salvation.
