Warrior Of The Sun (book review)

This story is the first in a series of six books that are a young adult books looking at the life of a young boy, Evan MacKeth, as he grows older. It is written in a similar fashion to the books by C. S. Lewis, Chronicles of Narnia.

Evan as an angry young fourteen-year-old boy who is befriended by Julian. His father is the king of the land, but only outside of marriage and the belief of the land is in Moloch and their priests.

Julian introduces Evan and his mother to Iosa Christus (Jesus Christ), which is against the law of the land and his father. Evan finds himself in battle against goblins and ultimately against a creature from the heart of darkness.

Throughout the story there are various scripture references quoted. The goal of the author was to highlight the love, mercy and grace of Jesus Christ in story that young people will enjoy reading. It has parts of love, hate and fighting.

Though it is a simple story, it reveals some profound truth of who Jesus is and how He works in the lives of people.

If you like short and simple novels of adventure and excitement with a Christian message, this book is a great read. It will even challenge your walk and belief in Jesus. I highly recommend reading this book.
