Acts 14:3 Speak Boldly

So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time there, speaking boldly for the Lord, who confirmed the message of his grace by enabling them to perform signs and wonders. Acts 14:3

When someone believes in something strongly enough, he will tell others all about it. Knowing that he knows what he knows will give him the boldness to speak about his views.

Every person has his own personal views on most things. On some things, it may be a very strong belief, while on others it is a loosely held belief. On the strong beliefs, he will be bold in presenting it to others as opportunities open up. Great salesmen are known for doing this.

Paul and Barnabas spent some time in Iconium. They boldly kept talking about Jesus. As they did this, God made it possible for them to do many miracles.

Every believer has a belief in God who saves the soul and does great miracles. Even though they believe in a great God, most are unwilling to talk boldly about God. They are afraid of offending someone or have fallen for the lie that it is a deeply personal thing to believe in Jesus and not to be pushed on anyone else.

God has called every believer to be His witness. They are to be His salesmen giving away the greatest news of salvation. As a believer is bold in speaking God’s word to the people, God will show up with many signs and wonders, saving people.

Boldness means one will speak up, not being worried about what others may think, say or do. The world is bold in promoting their views with no fear or shame and they are doing it for things that ultimately bring about death.

The message of believers brings eternal life.

As a believer, you have the message of eternal life. God is on your side and will show up when you lift Him up before the world. Be willing to tell the world what you about and have experienced with God. Do not fear what the world may think, say or do, but allow God to do a great miracle in their lives.

Unless you speak boldly, they cannot hear and God cannot work in their lives. As you go out today, ask God to show you who you can talk to and to give you the words to speak. Then ask God to show up with signs and wonders.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Savior; that you will speak God’s word boldly; that you will not fear talking about Jesus; and that God will use you to reach the world for Jesus.

Mark 16:20 Go And Do It

Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it. Mark 16:20

Every day, all over the world, people are given instructions as to how to do something. Along with the instructions, many are also given the tools to help them accomplish the task taught.

While many will use those tools and actually work to do the task, there are also many who reject the instructions. They choose to either not do the task at all, or they choose to do it their own way.

After Jesus had left the earth, the disciples went out and preached the gospel message everywhere. God was with them and confirmed it with signs and wonders.

The entire purpose of Jesus coming to earth was to seek and to save those who are lost. In His few years of ministry He taught the disciples how to carry on His mission.

That purpose is still in effect to this day. Jesus still wants to seek and save the lost. He is also wanting every believer to go out and pass that message on to others.

God has given every believer what he needs to accomplish His task. The bible is filled with instructions as to how to accomplish His task.

While there are some who are actively trying to accomplish God’s task, there are many who are not doing His work. Most believers are living their own life, taking care of self and not reaching out to the lost. Others are going out to do the work, but are doing it their own way, not the way God has directed them to do, thus signs are not really following them.

God has created you for a purpose. It was to have fellowship with Him and to build His kingdom. The only way you can work at building His kingdom is to follow His instructions and actually go out and do it.

As you step out in faith, doing what He has asked of you, God will pour out signs and wonders confirming His word and the work through you. Over time you will see lives changed and God’s kingdom being built. This is not done for your glory, but for His glory.

Each day God will give you opportunities to do His work and be His witness. Are you willing to do what He has taught you to do?

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Savior; that you will know what God has called you to do; that you will do what God has called you to do; and that God will confirm His work through you with signs and wonders.

Daniel 4:2 Excited To Talk

Excited boy

It is my pleasure to tell you about the miraculous signs and wonders that the Most High God has performed for me. Daniel 4:2

When something great happens in the life of a person, he is excited to talk about it. He will begin to tell everyone and anyone about what has happened. He does not care what others think about it.

People are very quick to talk about getting a new car, a new job position, a new house, a new child or grandchild, and the list goes on as to what they want to talk about. They will also talk about the latest events in the news or the latest sports game.

The passion and excitement about what is talked about can run high. Some will agree, while others may disagree with what is said.

King Nebuchadnezzar was excited to talk about what God had been doing in his life.

Every believer has a story to tell about what God has done in his life. Many believers act as if there is nothing exciting that has ever occurred in their lives. They do not see any miraculous workings of God in their lives. Yet, they do have miracles in their life.

Just being forgiven and saved is a miraculous story itself. However, there is also the miraculous work of provision of food, clothing, housing, and more in each person’s life. The daily life of being able to breathe and live is a miracle in itself. God’s amazing provision for places of worship and other believers to worship with is something to be talked about.

Along with all of these, there are the miracles of overcoming sin and temptations that occur on a regular basis. Many also experience miracles of healings and recovery.

When the believer thinks about it, he has many things that God has done in his life to talk about.

Take a moment to take note of all the things great and small that God has done in your life. The blessings are as numerous as the sands on a beach.

Now go out and tell others about those things. Be bold to stand up and talk about God and what He is doing in your life. Be willing to boldly talk about what God has already done in your life.

The world needs to hear your story about God. Do not be afraid of the world, but let them know.

I pray today that you will see the work God has done in and through you; that you will see all the miracles God is performing around you; that you will talk about what God has done and is doing; and that many will come to know Jesus because of your testimony about God.

Psalm 31:21 Seeing God’s Wonderful Love

Battering ram siege

Praise be to the Lord, for he showed me the wonders of his love when I was in a city under siege. Psalm 31:21

Being under attack is never a fun thing to do. As it is occurring most people feel that God has left them or that there is no God. All they see and feel is the pain and suffering at the moment. They see the horrors of the attack.

This can happen whether it is a physical, spiritual, verbal or mental attack. The point of the attack is to hurt or destroy and no one wants this. During an attack, the world will always put up its fists and fight back. All love for anyone or anything is lost as they fight for what they want.

David had been under attack many times. At times the enemy had laid siege to the city. This is surrounding the city, not allowing anyone or anything in or out in attempt to starve the city into submission. During this time David praised God because he still saw the wonders of God’s great love.

Seeing God’s great love while under attack takes a different focus in life. It is not focusing on the horrors of what is happening, but on what God is doing or has done. It is focusing on God, instead of the problem.

God is love and therefore everything He does is love. With the right perspective, one can see love even in the darkest of circumstances in this life.

Some things that David may have seen God’s love in while under siege are: he isn’t destroyed yet; they still had food; God’s presence was still with them; God was preserving them.

Instead of looking at the problem in one’s life, one must look from God’s point of view and see what he is blessed with. See God’s love in and through every situation and how God can work things out for his good.

As with everyone, you will have times when you will be under attack by the enemy. It could be a physical enemy, or one of the mind or body. While under the attack look up to God. See His great love for you.

Read the verses that talk about how God is for you and not against you. Read how God loves you with an undying love. Read how you will win with Jesus in the end.

Instead of seeing just the problem, see the wonder of God’s love for you.

I pray today that you will know God’s love and presence in your life; that you will focus on God in times of trouble; that you will be amazed with God’s love for you; and that you will give God praise for His love.
