Luke 4:43 Get The Message Out More

But he said, “I must proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns also, because that is why I was sent.” Luke 4:43

During a major storm, such as a hurricane, there is often a message that has to be delivered to the people. Often that message is one of telling the people to get out or evacuate the area for their protection.

In order to get the message out, they will use every means possible. Radio, television, internet and phone calls will be used to proclaim the message. Often they will send in police officers to go to homes and neighborhoods to pass the message on. This is done because of its great importance.

Jesus said He had to go to other towns to preach the good news. It was His full purpose to pass on the good news.

The proclamation that Jesus had is still important to this day. There are still billions of people who have not heard the emergency warning. The warning message is that they are dying in sin and headed for eternal judgement and death.

No one has to live like this, but most do not know it. People have not heard that they can have eternal life. This is where the church and believers come in.

Every believer has to pick up the mission that Jesus had started. Each believer is to proclaim the good news to every one that they can reach. They need to go out to the new areas around them to let people know who have never heard the message.

People need to hear the message of life, but if no one is willing to go, they will not be able to hear it. Jesus started and ended His life on this earth with this mission.

At some point someone had brought you the message of the good news of the kingdom of God. You were given the opportunity to accept or reject it. Now that you have chosen to accept it, you need to pass it on to others.

Seek God to find new areas to pass that message on. Ask God to show you new people to talk with that need to hear about what God has for them.

Do not allow any one to live without a chance to hear about Jesus and what He has for them. Get the message out.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Savior; that you will proclaim the message of Jesus; that God will open doors for you to be His witness; and that God will build His kingdom through you around the world.

Matthew 14:22 Sent Into A Challenge

Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. Matthew 14:22

Leaders will sometimes send people forward to accomplish various tasks, without always fully revealing what is ahead. Usually they will give details of what a person is being sent into in order to allow them to be fully prepared for what is ahead.

Some people will enjoy walking into the unknown, while most will shy away from it. This is especially true if the unknown can represent danger.

After feeding over five thousand people, Jesus sent the disciples in a boat to the other side of the lake. He did this knowing a major storm was coming up and would appear to threaten their lives.

Going through life will often present various dangerous challenges. People often attempt to avoid as many of the dangerous challenges as possible. They want to be safe.

Believers are not exempt from these challenges. In reality, God will often send His people directly into them, just as Jesus did with the disciples. He sends them in to those challenges to see where their faith is.

Too often one’s faith is in self or what one can directly see or understand, not in God. When a person is sent by God into a dangerous situation, he often gets angry and blames God for it instead of trusting God to get him through the situation.

Every believer must know and understand that God is really in control of everything. Nothing happens, good or bad, without His permission. God works everything out for the good of those who believe Him.

In the end the disciples saw Jesus and Peter walk on water and the storm calmed. The danger had built their faith up in Jesus.

There will be times that God directs your path a certain way. As you walk that path dangers may arise threatening your life. At that moment you have a choice to make, will you cry out or run in fear, or will you call out to God trusting Him.

Knowing that you were sent on that path by God, you can trust He is in control of the situation and wants to do something in your life. It may be to reveal His power to you or to reveal it to others watching you. In this do not be afraid to go where God leads.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Savior; that you will hear God’s voice leading you; that you will obey God’s leading; and that you will trust God in every situation.

Malachi 3:1 Messengers Sent

“I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come,” says the Lord Almighty. Malachi 3:1

It is common for royalty or some famous person to send a messenger ahead of them to prepare the way. Security, location, set up, advertisement, food, sound, and more things must be made ready for their arrival.

The more important or famous the person, the more work in preparation is required. Each one requires different things to be set up for their arrival. The preparation ensures that the presentation will be successful.

God tells Malachi that He will send a messenger ahead of Him to prepare the way. After the messenger prepares the way, God will come, the desired Savior will come.

In this passage, God is talking about John the Baptist preparing the way for the arrival of Jesus. All of this occurred when Jesus had arrived upon the earth nearly two thousand years ago. Several years later, Jesus left the earth, but it planning to return someday.

God still sends messengers ahead of Him. There will come a day when Jesus will return again to take all who believe in Him to be with Him and the Father for eternity in heaven. The messengers for today must also prepare for His return.

This time the preparation is to be a witness of Jesus and to draw as many as possible into believing in and following Jesus. God wants everyone to be saved and none to perish. When Jesus returns this time, it will be for the last time and for the final judgement on every person as to whether they serve Him or not.

As a believer, you are the new messenger preparing the way for the return of Jesus. You should have the same heart as that of God, that no one should perish. Do not keep the message to yourself, but be willing to share it. Prepare the way for His return in your own life and in the lives of others.

The real preparation is now making disciples of all men. Learn to live for and obey God, and teach others the same as you wait for His return. Do not ignore your job to be His messenger today, but be the greatest messenger you can be.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Savior; that you will prepare your life for His return; that you will be God’s messenger; and that you will make disciples of Jesus.
