Habakkuk 2:3 Wait For It

For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of an end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay. Habakkuk 2:3

Waiting for something to happen is often very difficult for many people to do. They know something good is supposed to happen, but know when. As they wait they get anxious. Often they give up waiting and attempt to get what they were waiting for some other way.

One reason many give up is that what they are waiting for is dependent upon a person, and that person has been proven wrong or false before. Their trust is broken.

God tells Habakkuk that the revelation is waiting for the right time to come to pass. He is to wait for it to occur, because it is a promise and will not come late.

There are many promises of God that has been revealed in scripture. Along with those promises many believers have been given a direct revelation or promise by God.

As with all promises of revelation, one must wait for them to occur. God’s promises will occur, but not until the perfect timing of God has come.

The greatest promise to have yet to occur is the return of Jesus to wipe out all sin and death for eternity. Many believers have fallen away in giving up hope in God’s promises. They chose to find some other way to live.

Each believer must look at the promises that has already been fulfilled. God has revealed many things that have already come to pass. If God has fulfilled all of those promises already, He will surely continue to fulfill the rest in the perfect time.

You may be waiting for a promise of God to occur. It could be one of healing, salvation of someone, provision, or some other need in in your life or someone else’s life whom you love. Hold on to the promises of God that has been revealed to you. The promise will come true at the right time.

The devil and the world will strive to get you to give up and take your own path to get what you want. Don’t give in to fear or impatience. Keep trusting God’s word to you. God has never failed yet, and will not start with you.

Keep waiting for God to answer your prayers in fulfillment of the revelation you have received.

I pray today that you will know Jesus as your Lord; that you will know the revelation God has made; that God will give you patience as you wait for His answer; and that you will see God fulfill every promise.

Psalm 104:27 Provision

All creatures look to you to give them their food at the proper time. Psalm 104:27

Every person needs some things to survive upon this earth. The very basic needs are food, shelter and clothing. Everything beyond that is a bonus to whoever has it.

In order to get these things, people work jobs to get the needed money to purchase them. This works great, until a person cannot get a job or has a job that does not pay enough to get what is needed.

The majority of people in the world believe that they are the ones completely in control of getting what they need. It is all about self getting those things. And there is great stress if they cannot get those things and more.

The psalmist points out that the creatures look to God for their provision of food. They expect God to provide food at the  right time.

While there is nothing wrong with working for the basic needs, and it is required to do so by God, relying upon self to get them is not what God wants. God wants the believer to trust in Him for the provision of all of his needs.

This is not saying that one does not work and just waits for God to provide. It is saying that a person will seek what God wants him to do and trust God to provide everything needed as it is needed.

Getting food at the time needed may mean that there is no great storehouse filled in with extra food for use whenever one wants, but will be there when needed.

Every believer must trust God in everything and for everything. All he must do is do what God wants Him to do and trust God for the rest.

As you go through this life seek to know what God wants you to do to build His kingdom. Put Him and His kingdom first. As you do that God will provide for all of your needs.

Trust that God will give you what you need at the time you need it, not early nor late. If the animals can trust God and God meets all of their needs, He will surely meet all of your needs.

His help may or may not be ahead of time, but it will always be on time–at the proper and perfect timing.

Are you looking to God for your provision or to your self?

I pray today that you will know God’s love for you; that you will trust God with all you need; that you will see God’s hand of provision in your life; and that you will see God’s blessings in your life.
