Psalm 22:22 Make A Declaration

I will declare Your name to My brethren; in the midst of the assembly I will praise You. Psalm 22:22

There are different types of declarations made on a regular basis all over the world. Some become very famously known, such as the Declaration of Independence by the United States, while most remain unheard of. Declarations are just someone making a solid statement about a belief or some truth as being firm and unmoving about it. Most declarations are just for the moment by an individual, while some are made by a group of people that are long lasting and recorded.

David stated that he would declare God’s name to others and in the middle of the people give Him praise.

At the moment a person chooses to make a declaration, that person is believing in something very solidly, with no thought of change or questioning. It is believed to be true beyond any shadow of doubt.

Although the world makes many declarations, it will also commonly make the declaration that truth cannot be fully known or that it is only true for the individual and not the whole. Truth, according to the world, can change according to the needs and desires of the people.

There is only one Truth in this world that never changes no matter what happens, and that Truth is that Jesus is Truth and is the only way to the Father in heaven. Believers in Jesus know this and hold to it.

However, many people in the church are silent about this Truth. They tend to hold to the same belief that the world does and are silent. They are afraid to declare the Truth of God’s name to the world.

Instead of being afraid, believers need to speak up and declare the Truth that the world needs to hear. Declaring that Jesus is Lord and that there is no other.

There are a lot of things in your life that are true, and you are not ashamed of telling others about. If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, one of the things you should not be ashamed of or silent about is His name. Be willing and bold to declare His name to those around you. Declare what He has done for you in your life each day. The world needs to hear about Jesus.

What will you declare for the world to hear today?

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will know the truth about Jesus; that God will give you boldness to declare His Truth for all the world to hear; and that you will not be ashamed of Jesus among anyone.

Psalm 22:22 Who Do You Talk About?

Can talking

I will declare your name to my people; in the assembly I will praise you. Psalm 22:22

In this world there are lots of things that a person can talk about from day to day. One of the many things that people like to talk about is other people. The people they talk about can be people they really know or just people that they know about, but they like to talk about others.

Among the teenagers the talk is often about actors, actresses, and singers, alongside of talking about other teens around them. Among the adults, the talk is often about politicians and other people around them.

The talk is often about how they like or do not like the person and why. If they don’t like them, it can often lead to an argument as to who is right or wrong.

David had been going through a tough time. Many were questioning his God. Yet, David says that he will declare, or talk about, God to the people. He will not stop praising Him among the people. He wanted to lift God up.

Believers have a message to talk about. They have someone that they can declare to this world. The world does not know God or Jesus. They do not know what they can do or what has been already done for them. Every believer can take every opportunity to let the world know the truth, without fear or shame.

Some people will refuse to listen and believe, but there will be others who will listen and believe. Each one needs to be given the chance to hear and believe. However, each believer needs to do his part in giving that message. This is lifting Jesus up for the world to see.

Going throughout your day, you will have opportunities to talk to other people. The question is what will you talk about? It is easy to just talk about the day to day things and the news, but time must be taken to declare the name of Jesus. Bring Jesus into the picture in every conversation you have.

Allow God’s name to be praised and lifted up before this fallen world. Give others a chance to know who Jesus is and what He has done for you and for them.

You have opportunities to shine your light in this dark world with praise. Don’t let that opportunity go to waste.

I pray today that you will know what God has done for you; that God will fill you with His boldness to declare the name of Jesus to this world; that many will hear of Jesus and turn to Him; and that you words will lift up Jesus.
