Jeremiah 16:17 God Sees All

Hidden deer

My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from me, nor is their sin concealed from my eyes. Jeremiah 16:17

People like their privacy. Large privacy fences are set up to keep others from seeing in. Actions are done behind closed doors or in the dark. Extreme passwords are put in place to protect their privacy online. Many will not talk about what is actually occurring in their private lives to others.

Some of this is done for protection, much of it is being done out of desire to hide the truth of what is occurring. Most criminals do their work in the middle of the night, while it is dark, because they do not want to be seen.

God tells Jeremiah that He can see everything the people are doing, all their ways and actions. This is to include their sin is revealed to Him.

Knowing that God can see everything can be a comfort or a fear. It depends upon what the person knows God is seeing in his life. For the person who is living for God, it is a comfort because he knows God is seeing his work to build His kingdom. For the person who does not follow God fully with all of his heart, it is a fear, because he knows that God is also seeing His secret sins.

Many believers live their lives holding on to secret sins, refusing to give them up. This brings fear of God seeing their lives.

For the believer who wants to live for God, knowing that God sees all of his sins can also be a comfort. It shows that God loves them, even in spite of their sins. It also allows God to reveal sins and allow for repentance and change.

God wants you to be the best that you can be. He wants you to be like Jesus–perfect and holy. He is willing to look deeply into your heart and soul and seek out what is wrong and show you the way to make it right. God is ready to forgive all sin and strengthen you to turn away from sin.

Instead of running from God’s vision for you, run towards Him. Run into His arms of love and mercy and find the forgiveness and strength you need to live for Him. Do not fear that God can see all of you, but embrace it and grow in Him.

I pray today that you will know Jesus as your Savior; that you will not fear God seeing you; that you will live as Jesus lived; that you will allow God to change you; and that God will see you living for Him.

Proverbs 10:9 The Value Of Integrity

Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out. Proverbs 10:9

Going through life there are many choices to be made. Some of those choices will be made in the public eye. Most of those choices will be made in private, in the heart and mind of a person or behind closed doors.

It is very commonly thought that what a person does in private is kept private and does not effect anyone else, because no one else knows about it or can know about it. The true reality is that things done in secret often come out into the open eventually.

In this proverb, Solomon points out that one who walks with integrity will be secure. Those who do not walk with integrity will be found out.

Integrity is doing the right thing when no one else is watching or can know about it. This can be with thoughts, actions, or words.

Many people are finding out that words or actions that they said or did twenty, thirty years ago are coming back to haunt them. It does not matter whether they have changed their words or not, it is just that they had said them.

Men and women who had good reputations in the public eye are being destroyed because of things that they had done in private. Their lives were not matching up with what their words were saying or the appearance that they gave people.

This, sadly, is also very common in the church. Ministers, leaders and others who were respected and honored are found out to be thieves or worse. These people did not walk in integrity at all times.

The person who walks in integrity does not have to fear that someone will find out about what he did. The one who does not walk in integrity will be found out and destroyed…eventually.

Everything that you do is seen by God. Jesus said that what is said in private will be proclaimed from the rooftops.

If you do not want to be found out as false, walk in integrity today. Do this in every area of your life, publicly and privately. Do not cut corners in any area of life, but walk as Jesus walked, in truth and in the light.

As you walk with full integrity, you will know that you will not be destroyed. There is nothing that the enemy can use to destroy you, because you are right before God.

I pray today that God will guide you in your actions, thoughts and words; that you will always do what is right before God and man; that you will know how God wants you to walk this life; and that your life will be the same everywhere you are.

Daniel 6:4 A Clean Record

At this, the administrators and the satraps tried to find grounds for charges against Daniel in his conduct of government affairs, but they were unable to do so. They could find no corruption in him, because he was trustworthy and neither corrupt nor negligent. Daniel 6:4

King Darius had chosen some men to help lead his country. Daniel was among those men. Daniel had done so well that the king chose to make Daniel a ruler over the entire nation. The other men were angry and jealous at the position that Daniel was given and sought to find a way to discredit him. As they watched him, they found out that they could find nothing corrupt in Daniel, everything he did was right.

In the political world, one of the greatest things many of the politicians do and those who vote for a politician, is seek out what is wrong with the opponent. People want to discredit a person to be able to claim he is not qualified to hold the position.

This even occurs outside of the political realm. Watch the news and it is common to see someone being accused of some wrong doing. Many times, the wrong done occurred years ago and is only being brought to the surface now. Often one person brings up some bad from the past, and many others suddenly come forward with similar stories.

Believers in Jesus should be living their lives in such a way that no one can find fault with them. Their private life and their public life should line up exactly the same and both should line up according to God’s standards. All thoughts, actions, and words should be the same as what God would speak. This keeps all accusations from standing true.

Satan is out to get you, if you are a follower of Jesus. He wants to be able to dig up some dirt in your life, to claim you really don’t follow Jesus. The world will seek to discredit you, to make you look like them and that your belief is false.

Focus your entire life on God and His ways of living, so that no one can bring up an accusation that will be true. The world will see how you are living and it will be a witness of the changing power of God.

What record will people find on you, if they search?

I pray today that you will allow God to cleanse you from all sin; that you will live your whole life for God; and that no one will be able to find any fault against you.
