1 Chronicles 15:16 Make A Joyful Sound

David told the leaders of the Levites to appoint their fellow Levites as musicians to make a joyful sound with musical instruments: lyres, harps and cymbals. 1 Chronicles 15:16

Thousands of different musicians are found all over the world making all kinds of music and sounds. Some are popular worldwide, while the majority are known only in a very small select area. Most of the mainstream music that is most popular promotes lifestyles or actions that go against God’s word but may sound like they are experiencing joy and happiness. This music makes people feel good in the moment.

David had the leaders of the Levites appoint other Levites to make a joyful sound upon various musical instruments as they brought the ark of the covenant back.

Most people enjoy listening to music being played. Many wish that they could make music that sounds as good as what they are listening to. Out of the billions of people on the earth, only a small portion can make super great sounding music.

Every believer is surrounded by the music of the world that promotes sin, death and depression. Instead of focusing upon the death, believers need to find their true joy in the Lord.

God does not look at how well one can make music but does desire that His people make a joyful noise unto Him. Even though most people cannot play an instrument at all or very well, everyone can make a joyful noise to the Lord. This joy is something that comes from the heart.

Singing praise and making music in the heart will bring great joy and honor to God. It will remove the depression and put focus back onto God and the world will watch in wonder as the believer is making noise with joy in the middle of chaos, death, depression and destruction.

Regardless of where you live, the world is making a noise that promotes sin and death in the end. As a believer you have the greatest gifts that any person could ever desire–forgiveness of sins and eternal life.

Think about all that God and Jesus has done for you. Let that overwhelm you and cause you to make a joyful noise from the heart unto God. Do not worry about what others may think or say but do it unto God from deep inside your heart and let the world see and hear it.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will know the joy you can have in Jesus; that you will make a joyful noise to God; that the world will see your joy in loving and serving God with your whole life; and that your joy will be a witness of God’s goodness to the world.
