Job 24:1 Where Is God’s Judgement?

Why does the Almighty not set times for judgement? Why must those who know him look in vain for such days? Job 24:1

Looking out on this world there are crimes being committed each and every day. Those who abide by the rules often wonder why these crimes are allowed. They want to know where are the police when things are done wrong.

This can often be seen on the highways. One person is driving in a very dangerous manner and there does not appear to be a policeman around to stop him. Another person drives two miles over the speed limit by accident and gets stopped and a ticket. Judgement against the crimes does not seem to appear.

Job was seeing this type of action occurring. People were rebelling against God, refusing to obey Him, yet, nothing was happening. Job was striving to follow God with all of his heart and nothing but bad was occurring. He begins to wonder why God has not set a time to judge the wicked.

Questioning why God does not judge the wicked is a question people ask even to this day. The world thinks that they are getting away with their sin, because nothing is happening to them.

God is not quick to judge and punish people. He is patient and loving, merciful and full of grace. He does not want anyone to be punished or condemned, but all brought to salvation and a change of heart and actions. God is very quick to forgive and restore, where man is quick to judge and destroy.

In reality, if God were to be quick and judge every person for their sins, then there would be no one alive on this planet. Every person has sinned so much that punishment and death would have to be immediate.

If it were not for God’s love, grace and patience, you would not be here today. You would not have had the chance to be a believer and a child of God.

Allow God to fill your heart with His love for all people, even those who are have committed the worst crimes against humanity. Rather than seeking judgement against them, seek to be a witness of Jesus to them. Believe that God can change lives.

Living like this gives people a chance to believe in Jesus. So don’t ask when God is going to judge them,  but ask when will He save them.

I pray today that you will know God’s love and patience; that you will be a witness for Jesus; that you will seek to bring people to Jesus; and that God will fill you with His love and patience for all people.
