Revelation 11:15 Jesus Will Reign

Trumpets in heaven

The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and his Messiah, and he will reign for ever and ever.” Revelation 11:15

When a person looks out upon this world, it does not look as though God is winning the battle against sin as a whole. Sin appears to be getting greater and greater. It appears as though fewer and fewer people are becoming followers of Jesus. Persecution against those who follow Jesus is getting greater and greater. Promotion of sinful acts appears to be more common and acceptable.

Along with the world appearing to be worse, the church appears to be getting worse. Groups of ‘believers’ are accepting sinful acts and lifestyles as being acceptable in God’s eyes. Leaders in churches are promoting sin in the name of love.

True believers may often wonder why God is allowing all of this to happen. Some may wonder if He will win in the end.

All one needs to do is read the end of the story that is told in the bible. In the end God does pour out His great wrath upon the earth and all mankind. A lot of destruction occurs. As it comes to an end, all of heaven is shouting that the kingdom of this world now belongs to God and Jesus. Jesus will reign forever and ever.

At this time, God is being patient with mankind. He is giving everyone a chance to follow Jesus. He does not want anyone to be destroyed. Yet, that will not last forever. Those who do not follow Jesus will be destroyed in the end, and God will reign.

God is in control. He needs to be allowed to be in control of the individual’s life, so that one will not be destroyed in the end.

Focus your eyes and life upon Jesus. Serve Him with all that you are. As you serve Him, trust that He is in control and will reign in the end. Jesus is the highest king that ever was and ever will be.

Allow Jesus to reign in your life today, so that in the end you will not be destroyed. You will see difficulties and troubles, but God will bring you through to the end, because He is King. Trust His reign in your life.

I pray today that you will know Jesus as your Savior; that you will trust that God is in control; that you will know Jesus will reign in the end; and that you will not fear what God is allowing in your life today.

Isaiah 52:7 Proclaim The Good News

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!” Isaiah 52:7

People love to hear good news. A couple gets excited when they find out they are expecting their first child. A student loves to hear that he passed a difficult test. Fans get excited to hear their favorite team is going to the Superbowl. Voters love to hear that the person they voted for won the election. Soldiers and people love to hear that there is a peace agreement between two warring nations.

Good news is always great to hear, especially in a time when there is a lot of bad news going on all around. Turn on any news channel and one will probably hear ten bad things occurring for every one good thing.

Even in one’s own personal life, one can find a lot of negative things to talk about, if so desired. So hearing good news is what people desire.

Believers have some good news to tell, in fact, it is the best news of all time. The one thing that no person can overcome is death. It is a fact that every person will die. So telling some news that death can be overcome is the greatest news story of all time.

Death is overcome because God does reign. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus, there was a peace agreement made between man and God. Salvation was purchased by the blood of Jesus for every person who believes.

As a believer you are the carrier of this great news. You are the messenger of the greatest news of all time. When you are walking through a store and see someone who looks like they could use some good news, tell him that God does reign and loves him and has salvation for him today. Be willing to proclaim that great news out loud to everyone you meet.

In a day where there is so much negative news happening, why won’t you go and tell someone the greatest news of all time? It may be the news someone is waiting to hear and needs to hear. In their eyes you will be beautiful with that great news.

I pray today that you will know the salvation God provides; that you will know that God reigns; that you will be bold in telling others about Jesus; and that you will proclaim to this world that God does reign.

Psalm 99:1 The Lord Reigns

The LORD reigns, let the nations tremble; he sits enthroned between the cherubim, let the earth shake. Psalm 99:1

Throughout the earth, many different people are seen to be the rulers. Often this is seen primarily as the rulers of various nations. Every nation has a ruler of some sort. Under the main leader of the nation, there are others who also seem to reign in the government in various ways.

Inside of each of these nations are other people who seem to rule in some area. Rulers of states, cities, neighborhoods, businesses and more.

Some of these rulers seem to be completely in charge and people fear them. Some rule with great care and love, while others rule with a heavy hand of dictatorship. Many fear those in leadership for various reasons. Fear because of the wrong they are doing, or the power that the person has.

Often forgotten is the one who reigns over the top of all of these rulers. Regardless of the power and level of a ruler on this earth, God is above.

Many people feel as though God is not really in control, because of the condition of this world. It does appear as though God does not really reign, because of all the sin occurring. The world seems to be winning the battle.

Yet, God is really in control. He places people into position and takes them out of position. God uses everything to the benefit of every believer. The world should be shaking and trembling at the thought that God does reign as supreme ruler over the world, because judgement is coming.

As a believer, you do not need to shake and tremble. You have been forgiven of your sins and are in right standing with God. Now all you need to do is trust that God is really in control. Allow God to reign in your life.

Letting God reign in your life, means you will allow God to guide your every step and action. Your thoughts and words will be what God wants them to be.

What does the thought of God reigning do to you?

Do you shake and tremble?

Or do you give Him praise?

I pray today that you will know Jesus as the ruler of your life today; that you will trust God as the sovereign power in your life; that you will praise God for reigning in this world; and that you will be His witness of His power to this world.
