1 Chronicles 23:30 Thank And Praise The Lord Continually

They were also to stand every morning to thank and praise the Lord. They were to do the same in the evening 1 Chronicles 23:30

It is common for most people to have some daily routines that they go through. For many, it will be routines that are done or required at their workplace. Others like the routine in their home each day.

Having a routine can ensure that certain things will get done in a timely manner. It can also help a person to remember to do what needs to be done each day.

Part of the Levites responsibilities as priests was to stand every morning and evening to thank and praise the Lord.

Being driven by routines can help keep a person focused correctly. The world is constantly throwing things at people to see and do. Distractions occur on a regular basis attempting to pull people away from what is really important.

In the life of a believer, God should always be his first focus. Taking time to recognize God and what He is doing is of the highest priority for the believer.

Stopping for a moment at the beginning of the day to thank and praise the Lord for giving one another day causes one to start with the right focus upon God and what He is doing. It will give one strength and courage for the challenges of the day.

Later, one must stop and take time to thank and praise the Lord for what He had done during that day. It can bring the needed peace for a night of rest regardless of what went right or wrong throughout that day.

Believers can recognize how great God is them and how many blessings they have been given when stopping to thank and praise God twice or more each day.

You most likely have some routines in your life that you like to or must follow on a regular basis. Make sure that part of those routines is taking time to stop and thank God for what He has done, what He is doing and what He will do.

Open your eyes to the work the Lord is doing in your life. You cannot count all the blessings that God has given you each day and night. Do not take those blessings for granted but thank and praise God each morning and evening and throughout the day.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will see what God has done in your life; that you will continually thank God for what He is doing; that you will give God praise day and night; and that you will be grateful for all the blessings and strength God has given you.

Psalm 92:1-2 Something Good To Do

It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High, proclaiming your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night, Psalm 92:1-2

In this life there are many things to do. Of these many things, there are many that are good and helpful. Exercising daily, eating healthy food, helping others out, praying for others, taking baths, washing the dishes, cleaning the house, and the list goes on.

As a person goes through life, it is easy to get caught up in the good physical things to be done. While all of these things are good, all of them are temporary. They are things that are good for life on this earth, but once a person dies, they hold very little meaning anymore.

No matter how much a person exercises and eats healthy, there will come a day when he will still die. The good exercise and eating may prolong the death, but it will still come.

One thing that a person needs to do that has a lasting impression for eternity, is praising God.

Starting out the morning proclaiming God’s love begins the day focused on God. As you get up in the morning remember God’s great love in giving you another day to serve and love Him. Keep in mind that His mercies and compassions are new every morning. Remember His great love in forgiving you of all of your sins. Tell others about God’s great love to you and them.

At the end of your day take time to remember God’s faithfulness throughout the day. How did God provide for all of your needs during that day? What opportunities did God give you to serve Him and others? How did God show His faithfulness by protecting you? How did God reveal His presence to you though the day? How did He give you peace and comfort in your day?

The list of God’s faithfulness to you is never-ending. Think and talk about those things at the end of the day. Let the world know that God is faithful.

Among all of the things that you can do or need to do, these two things should be at the top of your list. Praising God and telling of His faithfulness. That is being the light in this world.

I pray today that you will know God’s love more in your life; that you will see God’s faithfulness more in your life; that God’s presence will be more real in your life; and that you will be a light for Jesus to this world.
