Revelation 4:8 Non-Stop Praise

Praising Worship God

Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings. Day and night they never stop saying: ” ‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty,’ who was, and is, and is to come.” Revelation 4:8

People often get excited about other people, events or things. When they do, it is something that they want to talk about constantly.

Those who love and follow a popular person are considered that person’s fan. There are fans of famous singers, actors, sports players or more, who are considered a fanatical fan. They talk about that person all the time, giving praise as to who that person is and how good that person is.

John is a given a little vision of inside heaven. There he sees some winged creatures who are praising God. They do not just praise God for a few minutes, or a few hours, but continually around the clock, day and night. They are talking about how holy He is.

Every week people go to church and sing a few worship songs about God, hear a short sermon about something God has to say, and then they are finished. When the service goes an extra ten minutes longer than normal, people get upset. They are ready to leave and go home. They are done worshipping God.

The winged creatures had a real vision of who God is. They knew how holy He is and so they continually proclaimed it, never tiring of talking about God.

Believers are to praise God with all of their life. There is to be a song of praise always on their lips.

God is holy. He is pure, perfect and holy. This means that everything He says and does is perfect. Perfect for each person. It cannot be said enough how holy He is. There can never be enough praise of God.

As you go through your days, continually sing praise to God. Let Him know how holy and wonderful He is. Let the whole world know how holy and wonderful God is.

God is so holy and wonderful, that one cannot say it enough or stop talking about Him. Get a vision of who God really is and you will not want to stop.

Join in with the creatures and never stop saying: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.”

I pray today that you will get a vision of how holy God is; that you will see how wonderful God is; that you will always give God praise; and that you will sing praise of God to others continually.

Ezekiel 1:20 Going With God’s Spirit

Wherever the spirit would go, they would  go, and the wheels would rise along with them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels. Ezekiel 1:20

Ezekiel had a vision of some creatures with multiple faces and some wheels. He noticed that they would move without ever turning. The wheels would follow the creatures because the spirit of the living creatures was in them. Any time the creatures would move, the wheels would move.

Following someone closely is something that can be difficult to do at times. People change over time and continuing to follow may create conflict. Most people separate after a time because of different interests.

During high school, many students have friends that they hang around with. They always seem to be traveling in a group together. Once high school comes to an end, however, they tend to go different ways. Each one works a different job, or goes to a different school. They will get married and move away. Separation occurs.

The reason the wheels followed so closely was that they had the same spirit in them as the creatures had. Believers are supposed to be following God as those wheels followed the creatures. No matter where God goes, the believer must go. Just like a group of high schoolers are always seen together, the believer must always be seen with God.

God does not turn as He travels. He is always going forward, building His kingdom. He is always building His people to be just like Jesus, perfect and holy.

As you are going through life, you will most likely have to follow someone else. Your primary focus of travel should be following on the path God has for you. God has placed His Holy Spirit in you to lead and guide you through this life. He will guide you into paths of righteousness and holiness.

There will come times when you do not want to go down the path God has for you, but it is what is best for your life. Do not allow yourself to be led astray by something else. Stay focused on what God has for you. When God moves, you move. When God stands still, you stand still. Let God’s Spirit live in you.

I pray today that you will know God’s path for your life; that you will follow God each day; that you will not move unless God moves you; and that you will know God’s Spirit in your life.
