Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the full number of their fellow servants, their brothers and sisters, were killed as they had been. Revelation 6:11

Problems occur in the lives of every person on the earth. When these problems occur because of the acts of someone else, people want to see vengeance brought upon the other person. They want to see the other person punished.

One thing people ask is how long it will take to punish the offender. Punishment is expected to be expedient.

In a vision, John sees an angel open seven seals. After the fifth seal was opened, he saw souls of those who had died because of their belief, and they wanted to know when they would be avenged. They were given a white robe and told to wait until a certain number of then had been killed.

It is common for people who have become believers to believe that life will become easier as a believer. It is expected that all problems will go away.

However this is not true. Jesus promised troubles and that people would be martyred for their belief in Him.

The world hates Jesus and God and any one who follows Jesus with a true heart. Satan will do whatever he can to stop every believer, including murder.

God is patiently watching what is going on and keeping record of what evil people are doing to believers. Those who do evil against His people are only storing up a record for His wrath to be poured out upon.

At the right time, Jesus will return and get the vengeance against those who harmed His people. Until that time occurs, believers will be killed. Every believer needs to be willing to stand strong and true to God, despite the troubles that they may and will face.

God sees every trouble that you are going through. He knows exactly who is doing you harm.

Do not worry or fret over what others are doing or have done to you, God is watching. At the right time He will call each of those people into account and get His vengeance. His vengeance will be greater than anything you or anyone on this earth can provide.

Just as God is patient, be patient and wait just a little longer. In light of eternity, life on this planet is very, very short.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Savior; that you will trust God’s plan for your life; that you will know God will take vengeance for you; that you will have God’s patience in waiting for His next move; and that God will give you strength to continue to follow Him through any troubles that come your way.
