Deuteronomy 2:7 Never Lacking

Wilderness walk

The LORD your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands. He has watched over your journey through this vast wilderness. These forty years the LORD your God has been with you and you have not lacked anything. Deuteronomy 2:7

Going through life, many people claim to be lacking things. It is very seldom that a person will say that they do not lack anything that they need. Often, however, the need is not really a need, but a want.

The world is constantly saying that a person needs more and more things in order to really live this life. One can never have enough stuff in order to make it in this life.

According to the standards of this world, the Israelites would have been lacking very badly for things, as they traveled around in the wilderness. They would not have had a house, newest camels or chariots, or the fanciest meals and clothing. Yet, God told them that as they traveled in a wilderness for forty years, they did not lack anything at all. God provided for every need that they had.

Although today people usually are not traveling through a physical wilderness, they are traveling through the wilderness of this world. They start out with nothing and have to survive.

Just like the Israelites, believers today do not lack anything. They may not have the fanciest meal, three times a day, but they still have food. They may not have the newest trend of clothing, but they still have clothes.

God always provides every believer with everything that he needs. Sometimes God will go above and beyond and give what he wants.

In order to see God’s provision, one must change the view. He must not look at what others have, but at what God has blessed him with.

Take a look at your own life and see how much you have really been blessed with by God. How much provision has God provided you with over the years?

You may not have all of your wants and desires, but you always have all of your needs. God will never fail you in providing what you need.

This world is your wilderness, and it is trying to tell you what you need. The devil is a liar and you really don’t need everything the world says you need.

Trust God for His great provision for you needs in this life. You will not lack for anything.

Today I pray that you will see God’s hand of provision in your life; that you will trust in God’s provision; that you will continue to follow and trust God; and that God will bring  you through this wilderness.

Revelation 22:14 The Right To Life

Man by tree

Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life ad may go through the gates into the city. Revelation 22:14

The right to have life is a common topic among people. At times it is a very hot topic, while at other times it is not such a hot topic, but it is always there in the background.

Arguments arise as to when a baby becomes a human being and has a right to life, or how long does the mother maintain the right to stop the baby from life. Fights are made all the time about human rights in various nations around the world. Questions are constantly raised on the right to corporal punishment of those who do wrong. The right to assist in suicide is constantly questioned.

As a whole most people believe that they have a right to live and no one can take that away. God gives every person a start to the right to live. When a person has been born, they have the right to live for a time. It is later decisions, that determine how long they may live.

God has made it very simple in how to obtain the right to the tree of life, eternal life. One just needs to accept what Jesus as done and follow Him during his time of life upon this earth. He must believe that Jesus paid for the sins and removed the sins. To follow Jesus just means that he will love God and others just as God loves him, and he will obey everything God says to say and do.

When a person dies, they will stand before the judgment seat of God. If the person has been washed clean by the blood of Jesus Christ, having all his sins removed, he will have the right to eternal life. If the person has never turned to Jesus for a cleansing of his sins, he will not have the right to eternal life.

You, along with every other person on this earth, has to make the choice to follow Jesus. No one can make it for you. No one can take your place. You must choose for yourself to have your robes cleansed by Jesus. Only at that time will you have the right to eternal life, regardless of how good or bad of a person you are.

Do you have the right Life?

I pray today that you will know Jesus as your Savior; that you will allow Jesus to wash away your sins; that you will take what Jesus is offering you; and you will be blessed by God with the right to the tree of life and eternal life.

Revelation 20:6 Death Has No Power

Live and dead trees

Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but  they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years. Revelation 20:6

Death is something that is feared by the majority of people. They do not want to die. Billions of dollars are spent every year to prevent death. No expense is spared in this prevention.

For most people, death is an end. There is no hope after death. There is nothing after death. This is often believed whether they love this life or not. Some want death, in order to get away from the pain and suffering in this life, but that is the minority of people.

People fear death, often because they do not really know what happens after death. Or they know that there will be a judgment and they believe they are not ready for that judgment.

The people who have participated in the first resurrection have already died and no longer fear death. This resurrection is the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. He has conquered death and sin. In participation of His death and resurrection they have died to self and given their lives over to the control of Jesus.

Believers no longer have to fear death, because they know that they will reign with God in the end. There is hope and life after the physical death on this earth.

Death no longer has any power over them.

As a believer in Jesus, you no longer have to fear death or what this world can do to you. The most that this world can do, is send you home to God for all eternity–physical death.

Now, live life for God, because death no longer has any power.

I pray today that you will know the resurrection power of Jesus; that you will be dead to self and sin and alive to God; that God will remove all fear of physical death; and that you will know the hope of life eternal that you have in Jesus.
