Jeremiah 33:14 God’s Promises Will Be Fulfilled

Rainbow in sky

“The days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will fulfill the good promise I made to the people of Israel and Judah.” Jeremiah 33:14

Everyday around the world, millions of promises are made by millions of people for millions of different reasons. A portion of those promises will be kept and fulfilled, while the majority will be ignored or forgotten.

Some promises are fulfilled very quickly, while some have to take time to be fulfilled. Since the majority of promises are never fulfilled, people tend to struggle with believing someone who makes a promise. They have a few people that they will trust, but there are many they refuse to trust because of a lack of failed promises.

While Israel and Judah were under captivity and destroyed as a nation, God had promised a restoration. At the time no one could see an end to the captivity, but God said there are days coming when those promises will be fulfilled. Years later, God did restore Israel and Judah.

Throughout the bible God has made many promises to those who believe in Him. The challenge for many people is that they are still waiting to see the promise fulfilled. Some will get discouraged and walk away from God, because He did not do as He said He would.

God has a perfect time for each of His promises to be fulfilled. Each one may be today or it maybe many years down the road. People are not patient as God is and want the promise now. Jesus promised He would return, and as of yet, nearly two thousand years later, He has not returned. Yet, the day will come when He will return.

Each believer has to be patient as he waits for God’s promise to be fulfilled. He needs to trust God’s promise and live by that promise.

You may be waiting for God to fulfill a promise to you. It could be one of many different promises that you can read in the bible. It can be discouraging to wait, but wait you must. God is faithful and will fulfill His promise.

Looking at history, you can see that God did restore Israel, though it took over 2,000 years to occur. God will fulfill every promise He has made to you.

All you need to do is believe Him and obey everything He has already told you to do. Live a life of obedience and trust and you will see God’s promise fulfilled.

I pray today that you will know God’s promises to you; that you will know God’s faithfulness to you; that you will trust God’s word to you; and that you will see God’s fulfillment of His words in your life.

Jeremiah 32:27 Not Too Difficult For God

Inside a pit

“I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?” Jeremiah 32:7

In life there are many things that can be difficult for people. Some things are more difficult for some people than others. Some things are virtually impossible for some people to ever accomplish.

The reasons for things being so difficult for a person can widely vary. Roadblocks to accomplishing something could be lack of knowledge, lack of skills, physical handicaps, lack of finances, lack of resources, lack of motivation and more. Being able to push through all the difficulties to accomplish something is very difficult for most people.

God asks the question of whether anything is too difficult for Him. As He asks this question, He also points out that He is the God of all mankind…the Creator.

Often people question God’s abilities and get fearful because of a difficult situation in their life. They are up against a wall that appears to have no way around it or way to get through it. They begin to live in fear, not trusting God, forgetting what God has already done in the past and can do again in the moment.

Every believer must remember what God has already done in history and in his own life. It starts with the idea that God created this earth. Every mountain was made by Him. God knows and understands every difficult passage in this world.

Yet, God has made ways where there did not appear to be a way out. Look at the Israelites as they came to the Red Sea with a great army after them. God suddenly opened up the sea and made a way. Jesus provided food for thousands with only a little fish and bread. Jesus rose from the dead. He released chains and opened a prison door for Peter.

You will have difficulties that get in your way in this life on this fallen earth. Problems will rise that appear to be unsurmountable. Instead of fearing the obstacles, face them head on.

Do not forget that God is the God of impossibilities. He is the one who can and will make a way for you to travel. If God can create the heavens and the earth and everything in them out of nothing but His word, He can create a way for you to accomplish what is necessary. There is nothing too difficult for God to do.

I pray today that you will know Jesus as your Savior; that you will know God’s power in your life; that you will not fear any obstacle in your life; that you will trust God to make a way for you; and that you will follow God’s directions for your life.
