Pray for Luxembourg
Nearly half of this very small nation is comprised of expatriates coming from other nations. As a result, these people have brought in many other religious beliefs. Acceptance of beliefs outside of Christianity has been widely accepted.
There is a strong Catholic presence in the nation, yet very few attend services on a regular basis. It is often only in word that people are Catholic. Many have begun to mix other religions with their Christian beliefs, not holding to one belief only.
The majority of people who claim to be evangelical are actually foreigners who have moved into the nation. The government often sees the evangelicals as a type of cult. Having this image makes it difficult of evangelicals to rent some place to have as a place of worship.
There is also a struggle in that the majority of people are older. Only a small percentage of people are under the age of 15. This brings about a challenge in the future of who will be there when the elderly begin to pass away.
Points to pray:
Churches to speak the truth in God’s word
Open eyes to the false beliefs of other religions
Hearts to be stirred towards evangelism
Young families to have more children
Hearts to be stirred to live for God
