Pray for Gambia
Gambia is a predominantly Islamic nation, however, there is much freedom for Christian believers. The Muslims in the nation are not as violent against other beliefs as seen in many Islamic nations around the world.
Along the coastline, the Christians are doing a great job at reaching everyone for Christ. Further inland many believers do not reach out to the lost. Churches do not have a great vision for their own nation.
The younger generation tend to live in the capital of Banjul. This is a city that has been heavily influenced by the west and does not hold strongly to a biblical foundation. The gospel is watered down and there have been many false beliefs that have crept into the church weakening the believers. New believers need to be discipled in the ways of Christ and raised up to be leaders in their churches and nation.
Points to pray:
Hearts of believers to reach the lost
God to reveal Himself to the Muslims
Discipleship of new believers
Corrupt beliefs in the church to be exposed and removed
