Pray For Fiji

During the time of British control of Fiji, there were a lot of slaves brought in to work. These slaves have since then thrived, becoming a group among themselves. This has caused a division between the natives and those imported. It is difficult for common ground to be found between the two groups. It has also caused several coups to occur within this small island nation.

Along with the governmental problems, there is a high rate of alcoholism and broken homes throughout the country. The church is working hard at bringing a solution to these problems. Churches that show great vitality have been successful in reaching the lost for Christ. People are searching for truth and purpose and find it in the church.

The Indians of Fiji are the least reached people groups. Challenges rise to integrate them into churches because of the differences and past troubles.

Points to pray:
Strong, good leadership in the government
Unity among the people
Break in the bondage of alcohol
Strong, united families
Vitality in the churches
