Pray for Europe
Europe is a continent that had at one time been filled with many different Christian dominate nations. Over the centuries, many of these nations have grown cold towards Christian belief, even though the majority still hold to Christianity. Throughout all of Europe there are many different large churches that are standing completely empty, only being used as a historical marker.
Even though many have walked away from Christ, there are many who still follow Christ faithfully. Those few have been strengthened and emboldened to hold onto their faith despite what the rest of the nations do. They are a shining light in a dark continent.
Until recently years, Europe has not known any wars or major unrest. Yet, even with the wars, the people remain relatively free to worship as they desire with no fears of danger. Several of the communist nations have now allowed for more freedom of worship of Christ.
The disillusionment of secularism has opened the eyes of many to hearing the gospel message and looking to Christ for answers to life. People are now asking more questions about morality and meaning in life. Doors are now more open to people to receiving the gospel message.
Points to pray:
Strength for believers
Open ears to hearing the gospel message
Divine opportunities for believers to share the gospel message
Growth and planting of new churches
