Pray For Africa
Various mission groups are working on evangelizing Africa to become evangelizing churches. In the early 1900’s, evangelicals numbered less than two million. Currently there are over 200 million throughout the continent of Africa, nearly 20% of the entire population.
Churches are growing in membership and outreach. They are working at reaching the entire life of a person, not just to get one saved. Helping meet needs of others while sharing the gospel message occurs among many of the churches.
The greatest number of unreached peoples are the Muslims. Evangelical groups inside the continent are striving to reach those lost Muslims with the Gospel message.
One challenge is having the Bible translated into all the languages of the people. Several bible colleges are working on getting translations done in more and more languages.
