Pray For Romania
Romania is one of the world’s most Christian nations by percentage. Although the statistics show this, one would not see that Christianity is at that high of a percentage. Atheistic worldviews, promoted by Communism, prevail throughout the land. Many claim to believe in God but live like the world and hold many worldly views.
With communism running the nation, there is a brokenness and emptiness that many cannot fill. As a result, drug abuse, prostitution, sex trafficking and child abuse are found everywhere.
The Orthodox Church still remains the largest influence of Christian belief in the nation. This church will often punish those who try to be evangelical and cast them out of the church.
A group called, The Lord’s Army, has been able to reach many for the Lord. Some fall towards the Orthodox Church, while others are more evangelical. In the past they faced severe persecution, but recently have been more accepted.
Youth that have accepted Christ are very dedicated and committed. However, many churches do not have a youth program that attracts many of the youth.
Prayer points:
Open doors for evangelism
Youth to be drawn to Christ
Breaking of bondage to sinful lifestyles and addictions
More churches to be planted
Purpose for life to be seen
