Pray For Iran
Iran is a strong Islamic led nation, following the Islamic beliefs for centuries, the nation as a whole has been resistant to change. It is an ancient nation that has been around since Old Testament times. Anyone who chooses to become a believer can be sentenced to death. Families can kill other families who become Christian as a mercy killing.
Even though Iran has been strongly against believers, many are still turning to Christ. In 1979, there were believed to be only about 500 Christians in the nation that had an Islamic background. Today they estimate around 1 million believers. Many mosques have been shut down to the change of heart.
Many of the young people are having visions of Jesus and turning to Him out of desperation and hopelessness. One thing that they need is Bibles. Bibles are illegal to print or distribute in the nation, yet many are brought in and eagerly accepted. Various ministries are reaching into the nation through television, radio and the internet to get the gospel message out to the people.
