Pray For Iceland
Iceland is a land that is often seen as a very rugged, but beautiful land to live in. Although it does have its beauty, there is a lot of division among the people. One side wants to preserve the rugged beauty, while the other side wants to use it for making money. With its high level of beauty, it does bring in a lot of people from other nations, who also bring in their traditions and faiths.
While the majority of Icelanders claim to be Christian, the majority are so only very nominally. It is more of a title than a lifestyle for many of the people. Churches are experiencing a growing number of elderly members, while declining in numbers that attend services. Many see the services as lacking any life or vitality to them.
There is one theological facility that does train believers to be leaders in the church. Often with the training, many will leave Iceland to preach in other nations around the world.
