Prayer For Botswana
Botswana is a nation that has been ravaged by AIDS to the point that it has the second highest spread of it of any nation in the world. Over the last 28 years, with the spread of AIDS, the life expectancy has dropped dramatically. There has also been a large increase in orphans. The government is working on getting medication developed and distributed to slow the spread of AIDS. Many different organizations are in the country to help the people out.
Recently the nation elected a new party into office. The former party had been in control for about 58 years. The new focus of the government is to change what was broken and restore the nation to a more economically strong nation.
Churches have been planted, but many of the ministers lack any training in how to lead the churches. With the lower age life expectancy, younger people need to be reached quickly for the Lord.
