Since your prayers don’t work, Tom, it seems that what I have is the truth. Per your own bible, you aren’t a true follower of jesus christ at all.

You make the same excuses any cultist makes when their god does nothing. You have to make up that this god answers in a “different” way, when your bible says that your god will answer as you ask. Like your bible says, what parent would give a child a snake if asked for a fish.

If everything is god’s will, then prayer is nothing more than a Christian telling their god that this god could do better and is totally worthless. As always, the Christian has to find an excuse on why he fails his own bible’s promises.

If your prayers are fulfilled immediately, curious how that must mean you never pray for things like your god feeding the starving, helping people like burn victims and amputees, etc. It’s nothing new that this god does nothing that anyone can point to. Your prayers are “answered” with the same occurrence as any coincidence.

Yep, James talks about that, and curious how james also promise this:

“13 Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. Funny how not a single Christian can do these things promised, just like they can’t do any of these things either:

Nothing in your bible says “no” or “not yet”, but Christians invent that to excuse their god’s failure. Yep, you do believe in prayer, and yet you can’t show that it every works. I was a Christian and prayed for help when losing my faith. Despite the promises above, your god did nothing.

Tom, it wasn’t a bad experience with christanity, it was the promises in the bible being completely false. Every theist claims to see miracles, and unsurprisingly, not a single one can show that their claims are true. You have nothing to show that doctors couldn’t explain anything.

Every Christian claims to walk in “perfect unity” with their god, and yet, Christians can’t agree on the most basic things, and again, not one of you can show your god merely exists, much less does anything at all.

You will never have prayers answered since there is no god to answer them. You find you must blame yourself for your god doing nothing and you must blame every other victim when your god does nothing. You have to make up excuses why your god doesn’t answer prayer, make up why a completely different outcome is fine, why your god not responding at all is fine, etc.

Again, your jesus does literally say that *any* prayer will be answered for a true believer, and answered with what is asked for and quickly. The mountain doesn’t move a thousand years later, and again, this god will not give a snake if asked for a fish.
Unsurprisngly, the bible can’t be shown to be historically accurate at all. Christians themselves can’t agree on which parts are to be taken literally, as metaphor, as exaggeration, etc. And since there is no evidence for any of the essential events in the bible, from either version of creation, the noah flood, babel, exodus, the supposed temples and places with literal tons of gold and silver, battles involving hundreds of thousand of combatants, a miracle worker that was famous throughout the middle east, a man being followed around by a literal roman legion’s worth of men in the rebellious province of judea, any triumphal entry into roman-occupied Jerusalem, and a certain day where there was a major earthquake, the sky darkening and dead jews wandering around Jerusalem during a Passover, your claims are false. Even three of the four anonymous gospel authors missed that last one.

You literally aren’t saying what the verses I quoted say. All jesus says is believe in him and *any* prayer will be answered. There is no requirement of perfection. There is literally no “not now” or “no” or “here’s something else” as possible responses.

Lots of christians claim that any prayer has to match this god’s “will”, and yet Jesus doesn’t mention that either.

Tom, then provide the names of these doctors. Your claims of “cancer throughout the body” is nonsense. What was the actual diagnosis? What kind of “pictures” show “cancer throughout the body”?

And there is no reason any treatment would supposedly have to be delayed until a certain age. As usual, your claims are typically vague with no evidence to support them at all. It also seems you don’t know that the Mayo Clinic is what the facility is called, not the Mayo hospital.
I know the bible quite well and have researched it. It has no historical accuracy. There is no evidence of a worldwide flood and Christians can’t even agree on when where or how it happened. A flood would have left one massive layer, not the many individual layers we see in reality. You can do your own experiment to show how this works. Put various sizes of sediment in to a glass jar. Add water and shake violently. You won’t see many layers.

There is indeed evidence of Babylon but not what the bible claims about it. As has been pointed out to many Christians, mentions of real people and places doesn’t make the nonsense in your bible true. If that were the case, then athena, Poseidon, isis, Ra, etc would be just as “real” as your god since those myths also mention real places and people.

Jericho exists and it exists in a region that is noted for earthquakes. At no time period claimed by Christians was it destroyed by magic. Unsurprisngly, there is no evidence for any “exodus” at all, and christains can’t even agree on how, when or if that happened either. Not one of Egypt’s enemies or trade partners noticed them losing all of their food, a good portion of their population and their entire army. No one also noticed 600,000+ people wandering around an area half the size of Pennsylvania for 40 year, nor can any latrines, trash pits, etc be found, despite the bible supposedly giving their route.

Curious how you Christians have murdered each other over how to interpret the bible, so either your god likes to watch that, your god is an idiot, or your god doesn’t exist.

Again, no requirement of perfection, so your excuses fail miserably. You can’t agree on what your god considers a sin. So your claims you can’t have every prayer answered is simply denying what your bible says and inventing your own.

The excuse of “selfish reasons” is typical, since surprise, that is an easy thing to claim when your god fails. Do tell how it is “selfish” to pray that a young mother doesn’t die of cancer, or to pray for amputees and burn victims to be healed of their injuries. If your god’s “glory” depends on denying such things, your god is a monster.

I didn’t leave out anything. Yep, you just need to believe in jesus to receive his gifts. Nothing in your bible says it has to be in this god’s will for your prayer to be answered. If it is, then your jesus was lying when he literally said “any” prayer will be answered.

Unsurprisnigly, you have no names of doctors, no dates, and can’t even get the name of the facility right. Yep, I demand facts, just like you would if some muslim, hindu, etc made the same claims as you have. How hypocritical. You are a fraud.

Every religion claims that “creation” aka reality is evidence for their particular god and not one theist can show their god merely exists, much less that it is the “creator”. The evidence we currently have is that yep, something can come from nothing. No god of any religion needed.

The evidence also shows that humans did evolve from unicellular life, and we can see that in our DNA. No magic involved, just evolution. Neither the universe, nor a cell, “popped” into existence as they appear today. So your nonsense about them being too “complex” is simply showing your typical ignorance.

I have not closed off my “heart” at all. I was a Christian and prayed for help when losing my faith. Despite the promises in the bible, no god showed up. And per your bible, this god intentionally makes some people who it won’t allow to accept it, damning them for no action aka choice of their own. Both jesus and paul are quite clear about that in Matthew 13 and Romans 9. So you are blaming the wrong person.

As I said, I have no problem examining evidence for your god. If you have evidence, give it. It seems you have nothing considering your excuses.

Believers constantly do things wrong, can’t agree on the most basic things when they claim they have the “truth”, etc. David is quite an example, since his story shows that your god murders people for things they didn’t do, showing it unjust and unfair. Your god murders David’s son. If a rapist is after your god’s heart, you have a monster for a god.
Since Christians can’t agree on what their god considers to be a sin, you all simply “repent” of what you want. And since not one of you can show that your version of Christianity, or any version of christanity, is true, you are all busy claiming each other are “false teachers” and nto one of you can do what jesus promises. It’s quite a circular firing squad.

Nice attempt to make excuses, Tom. You cannot prove your god exists *and* you have no evidence to support your claims. Alas, for you, one can show how evolution works and you depend on it every day, Tom. Evolutionary theory allows for the breeding of modern foodstuffs. It also is demonstrated with how bacteria become antibiotic resistant.

Unsurprisingly, your religion claims that everything literally magically appeared, so you trying to claim that evolutionary theory says this again shows your complete ignorance. That something is supposedly easier to believe doesn’t make it true. We don’t know how life started or how reality began. We may never know completely. Still no evidence for any gods at all.

That christains cannot agree on the most basic things in their religion has everything to do with belief. Not one of you can show that your set of beliefs is any better than the next and nothing requires any of your beliefs to be true. Christians often attempt to argue that it doesn’t matter that they can’t agree, insisting that any group of peple disagree. That only works if you don’t have your supposed omnipotent, omniscient and omnibenevolent god in the mix. If your god is all of these things, then its inability or unwillingness to make itself clear shows that it isn’t at least one of those things at all.

The disagreements in Christianity have let to murder over your differences. That your god either doesn’t care, or can’t do anything about that makes it not a “god” at all.
It’s great how you are part of those many who spend time accusing others of false beliefs. You are quite a pitiful hypocrite. Every Christian thinks their version is the right one, e.g. is “dogmatic about it”, and not one of you can show your version to be true.
