Then God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the animals that were with him in the ark. And God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters subsided. Genesis 8:1
Remembering things is a challenge for many people. Busyness of life overwhelms most people causing them to forget small things. Going along with the busyness people will suddenly remember someone they were to meet or something that they were to do and have to quickly shift gears. Other times people will completely forget and miss what was needed to be remembered.
As Noah was on the waters floating around God remembered Noah and all that was with him and caused a wind to pass over to get the waters to go back down.
During a major catastrophe in life people will often feel all alone. Friends are suddenly missing or so busy to where they cannot help. Knowing how to make it through the challenge while alone is an overwhelming puzzle that causes many to fall into depression. Keeping up the strength to keep moving forward is difficult.
No one is completely immune from major problems in life at some point in their life. Believers will also often fall into depression feeling all alone and that God has abandoned them.
Yet, God has not abandoned the believer. He will remember the believer during the flood that is occurring in one’s life, and one feels alone floating on the waters of life. At the right moment and time God will show up and cause a wind to blow across to push back the waters and restore what was lost.
This wind may be in this life, or it may be in the life to come in heaven some day. One has to keep up the faith, believing and trusting that God will remember that Jesus paid the price for one’s life.
You will feel as if you are all alone at times of great problems in your life. Those challenges will feel like a flood trying to drown you and destroy your life. Jesus paid for your life and God will remember you. In His time and in HIs way He will remove the trouble and give you life. You have eternity to look forward to some day. Do not give up, but keep trusting that God will remember you and restore you.
Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that God sees the troubles you are going through; that you trust God’s timing; that you will see God working in your life; and that God will restore you and build you back up.
