Revelation 14:1 Are You Standing With Him?

Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s name written on their foreheads. Revelation 14:1

Standing with someone means that one is in agreement with that person. In doing so one will also have to be willing to stand against someone else who is in disagreement. Danger and battle will arise when one takes a solid and decisive stand that goes against others, especially when it goes against the majority.

In his vision of the end times, John sees the Lamb, Jesus, standing on Mount Zion with one hundred and forty-four thousand who have God’s name on their foreheads.

The world is willing to take a stand on what they believe. Pushing their agenda and focus is done with great pride. Anyone who stands in their way is considered hating and an enemy and needs to be removed at any cost.

Deception is used to make their side look good, even when it is bringing about death and destruction. Standing up against the world ensures that there will be a battle in which will be a lot of damage done.

Living by God’s standards will cause one to have to take a stand against the world. Believers are to be separate from the world, even though they are in the world. They have the mark of God upon their foreheads identifying them as to which side they are on.

There is a war that is going on between Satan and God. Satan will bring death. God will bring life. One has to stand with Jesus and be His witness in this world in this battle of life and death. The believer must be willing to be cleansed and remain pure and undefiled of sin while doing battle with God.

Whether you want to be or not, you are in a war, a war for your soul and the souls of others. There are only two sides to this world–Satan’s and God’s. You have a choice as to who you are going to be willing to stand with. Satan can only give you temporary pleasure that will end in death and punishment. God, through Jesus, offers you eternal life with all that is needed. This life is for you and all who may choose it. Make the choice to stand on a hill with Jesus and for God and live in victory.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will choose to stand with God against the world; that you will be God’s witness in this world; that you will know the victory you can have in Jesus; and that God will give you victory over sin and the world.
