Ephesians 3:12 Bold Access

in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him. Ephesians 3:12

Going before someone of extremely high authority can be very scary and nerve wracking for most people. This can be even more true if the person has the authority and ability to take someone’s life if the authority is not pleased. Fear rises up and keeps most people from going before someone like that. People would rather be quiet, than to take a chance that their life may be threatened or harmed. They do not feel worthy in any way of approaching high authority. As

Paul talks to the Ephesian church about the mystery in Christ, he tells them that in Christ they have access with boldness and confidence to go before God.

Going before someone of high authority on this earth is scary enough, going before God, who created everything and has absolute power and authority is another. Once a person has a belief in God and understands sin, it is common that many fear going before God.

As they remember all the sins that they had done against God, they fear that God is going to strike them down and kill them. All that is before them is their huge lists of failures and sins, remembering all the times in the past that they had let God down with previous promises.

Thinking this way is due to the enemy playing on the mind and how many people would act.

God, in His infinite love and mercy, does not act in the same way. His entire purpose for sending Jesus was to make a way for the believer to approach Him without fear. Jesus has removed all sin and condemnation so that one can boldly go before God with confidence that God is ready to accept and hear the believer.

Prior to your believing in Jesus and being cleansed from all sin, you had a reason to fear going before God. You were an enemy to God and deserved to be destroyed. The moment you chose to believe in Jesus, all that changed. As you have faith in what Jesus has done in your life, you can now have faith that you can boldly go before God, knowing that He will accept you and not destroy you. God wants that close relationship with you and wants to spend time with you.

Will you go boldly with confidence before God with your praise and requests?

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will know what Jesus has done in your life; that you will go with boldness and confidence before the Father; and that you will have a close relationship with God.
