2 Corinthians 9:10 Mulitiplied Seed And Fruit

Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, 2 Corinthians 9:10

During planting season, the gardener must get some seeds to plant new fruit and vegetable plants. If one plans ahead, the gardener can use many of the seeds from the previous planting, which will then multiple how many seeds are available. The more planted will then multiple the amount of fruit and vegetables available to be harvested in the end of the growing season.

As Paul talks about giving, he prays that God, who supplies seed and bread, will supply and multiply what the Corinthian church is able to sow and increase their fruits of righteousness.

Growing fruits and vegetables are important to eating and health. Both fruits and vegetables are needed to provide various needed nutrients for good health. Without them, no one would not be able to survive in good health very long.

Going through life, people grow types of fruit in their lives. Character is grown and sown out to others. The type of fruit that the world tries to grow is selfishness and pride. Everything is about self first.

God provides seeds for believers to grow fruits of righteousness and holiness. Using His word and being led by the Holy Spirit, the believer is able to be transformed into one whose is able to plant seeds of righteousness into the lives of others. There is a never ending supply of seed available as one trusts in God and uses what He provides.

No believer can out give God in doing good works and giving to others in need. Just as the gardener can have an exponential supply of seeds to plant, so will the believer who gives trusting God to supply more.

God has planted His seeds of righteousness in you to grow more fruit so that you can plant more seeds in the lives of others. These seeds can be ways to help others, show God’s love to others, meeting the needs of others, sharing the Gospel message with others and many other types of seed. They become the right way to live. Plant the seeds God has given you and allow Him to increase your fruit and provide even more. In this way, you will build God’s kingdom larger and larger, and God will meet all of your needs.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will know the seeds God has for you to plant; that God will see and increase in fruit in your life and in the lives of others; and that God guide you in planting fruits of righteousness wherever you go.
