“For behold, the day is coming, burning like an oven, and all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the day which is coming shall burn them up,” says the Lord of hosts, “that will leave them neither root nor branch.” Malachi 4:1
Going through each day, people often feel as though they can do whatever they want. There rarely appears to be any consequences for actions being done. This can even more so for people doing harm or some crime to others and getting away with it.
Malachi records God telling the people that there is coming a day in which the wicked and the proud will be burned up, with no root or branch left to carry on.
Violence and crime often appear to pay and be the way to go. Criminals are left off the hook or given very easy punishment. Illegal actions are done on a regular basis by many with no apparent consequences.
As time goes along, sinful actions are being promoted as good and Godly actions are being promoted as evil more and more. Action against believers is rising more and more in every nation around the world. Wickedness seems to pay and be the safe way to go.
Believers can easily get depressed with the rise of sin all around them. Sometimes it appears that there is no end to the sin. Yet, there is a day coming in which God will judge all the wicked and burn them up, leaving them with nothing.
Instead of getting depressed with the wickedness, believers need to put their trust in God. Along with putting one’s trust in God, the believer must be willing to be His witness to this lost and dying world. The world needs to hear the Truth and be given an opportunity to repent.
It may be depressing for you to see all the rise of evil around you. Do not fear the rise of evil but put your trust in God. There is coming a day in which God will crush all who attempt to stand up against Him. You can have a hope that all wickedness will be cut off and burned up by God. Put your trust in Jesus Christ and His word.
Then, let the world know about Jesus and give them an opportunity to repent and be changed by the blood of Jesus Christ.
Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that God will remove all fear of those who are wicked; that you will be a witness of God’s coming judgement to this world; and that many will come to repentance in Jesus Christ through your testimony.
